HPI Racing Savage w Dynamite .28 Ep. 1
I was gonna run the Savage XL but the one way bearing/pilot shaft failed. So I took out the ol’ trusty Savage .28 for the fort session of ‘24. This truck is a beast and it’s obvious why it’s consistently a staple platform in this market. The last clip is cut short because my phone died. Missed some of the best jumps and I just got it tuned proper too. Oh well. Cheers

Mine slipped from the start, got a pullstart for it, and it worked without slipping, eventually got a backplate and used a starter box.
I just bought 2 older XL's, one is all stock still with the K5.9(with a worn out pilot shaft), other one has a big red in it and it needed some work but should be running good. I manage to get a new piston sleeve and rod from my local hobby shop so im set either way.KBN

I've had like 3-4 of those K5.9 they all die through the one way bearing. That Dynamite .28 its underrated, they don't die, it also has a lot of power. I always run the Big red, just a little more punch but the one you have is really good. Great video brother

I have a Big Red I’m saving for a fitting occasion. Should this 5.9 fail me, Big Red is on deck. I have yet to run one but if it’s anything like the .28, I know it’s gonna be the perfect substitute. Thanks 🏁✨

Ive never have been through my 5.9 im thinking of just pulling it and dropping a one of my spare 4.6 in it for now ..cool video bro

I have a spare one of those too. I just got a new one way bearing and I have a new starter shaft. If the new parts don’t help, I plan to drop a 4.6 in it as well
