I have a 29cc Baja 5T and it's pretty fast with the right tuning, i have an 8000RPM clutch, 20 tooth pinion and 57 tooth spur with a tuned pipe and it drifts around fine, jumps fine, and it fast, i had to change the breaks because of the speed of them little things, i put hydraulic front brakes on to help it stop better, the amount of perfomance mods out there for these type of cars is unreal, i'll be getting a stuffed +2mm stroker crank bigger fuel lines, polished carb and ported head soon

Good but you should have a 54t spur gear with that pinion, oterwise it won't fit or you make a mistake here at describe it

I wish they would return the old version of the baja with the purple parts and nice orange body cover

its a 2-stroke , so for the first time, warm it up gently by driving it, max half throttle. Let it cool down fully, repeat the previous again. After warming it up for the 3d time its ready to rip. Break-in = setting the piston-rings to the cylinder. Idling the engine for 6 tanks is just a waste of fuel and time. ( not to mention carbon-buildup on the piston by not reaching optimum heat)

Check your front wheel alignment make sure both wheels point streight ahead, you can alter the tracking by turning the track rod ends, they are the metal bars by the A arms with the flat spots on them so you can turn them with a wrench, also you might want to check the toe in angle on the back wheels, if one toes in more than the other it can cause it to pull to one side, you can also try turning the rear hub spacers 180 degrees to make the rear wheels streight.

yes usually 92 octane and 2 stroke oil, with a mixture of 20:1 or 25 :1

so basically the rule is 1 battery per tank until u recharge it .....great vid cheers

what does the air filter oil do? if you are going to take apart the pull start make sure you hold the parts in as the spring inside likes to shoot all the parts out and unwind itself making it really hard to put back together

the break in for the fulie engine that ive been told is run it easy for 1 tank then run it as you want is from some of the most well know modifiers for baja's that i know. idiling for 6 tanks is just a waste of fuel. also the 2 strokes for bicycles maybe a bit different too. like for nitro engines each manufacture has a different break in process for their engine. like hpi they have the ebst break in for their motor each company will be different from the last dealing with the break in proces

After 10 mins of running... The engine stopped and now my pull start won't pull. I was running it in wet conditions. Did I maybe get dirt/mud inside... Idk

Yes actually i do know about 2-stroke engines. A stuffer crank can improve performance and strengh, but yes, it will not increese the top speed. If you run a stock clutch, it is more likely to slip inside the clutch bell, if you run a 4 shoe race clutch, then it is not likely to slip, therefore you will get better speed.

Don't lie

Std. or upgraded clutch, both will stopp slipping between the 10-12k mark. Aftermarket clutch such as lauterbacher clutch will only improve smooth acceleration, not top speed.

i up-graded my stock 26cc engine to a 30.5cc. If you want more power and acceleration then this is a vital up-grade. Also, By any chace, if anyone has a Kingmotor Baja 5B, Then you should up-grade the engine and carby any way. I have a KM and my engine and carby were, well, Shit. slow acceleration and very little top end speed. Apperently if you try to tune a kingmotor carby, the carby wont hold that possition for long. So if you are happy with the engine, then upgrade the carby

How to keep the idle needle in factory settings

I cant believe HPI has stuck with that long wheel base for so long , I chopped 1" off my chassis and it no longer nose dives or loops out easily . Its not that the front end is too heavy , its that the weight is leveraged to far forward.. OHH and about 1" wider....Are you listening HPI?

Hi. I am looking for a replacement engine for my HPI RS4 EVO3 RTR. HPI PART # 15107 They are discontinued but doesn't someone have these engines? I would appreciate some direction. I bought it and it was supposed to be new. It came in a sealed box and was brand new stock. The engine blew. Not sure what happened. Needs a piton, sleeve and drive shaft. Too much money and parts not available. Anyone reading this with an idea for me let me know. I don't want to fit another engine in. Don't have the parts or the time.

It stops dirt from getting into your engine. If you don't put it on then you'll get dirt in your engine and the dirt will scratch the engine's walls leading to lack of performance and eventually complete engine failure.

where can I buy baja 5b ss?

Sunaco Ultra is like 94 octane. One if the highest grades. 89 is more like a standard octane

sreelal roy aliexpress. And here is a tip. Get a killswitch... and a better battery 3000 to 4600 mah is good!!!!. And!! Upgrade the steering servo.... jx 2060 is a good one and is pretty good for the money. And for gas!!! 40ml oil for 1L of fuel. And buy a good transmitter... i have a spektrum DX4C but there are cheaper ones. If you get these things my friend you are set!!! And!!!!! Better battery charger the IMAX B6 mini is prefect. Not the fake one butt the real one!! Check on youtube how to spot a real and a fake one. Have fun my friend!!!!!

The fist day i got my Baja 5B, i reved the shit out of it. Didn't bother with the break-in process. I personally don't believe in it. It performs excelent, up to 110km/h and uses a tank of fuel in about 40 minutes. but i have a 30.5cc engine. Not the stock 23cc or 26cc depending on which kit you bought.

they should make a 30.5cc baja with 4wd

The engine in a car may not be a small engine, but it still must be broken-in. So do the 2-stroke gas engines for bicycles they have in California. Those must be broken-in.

They run on petrol (gas) and that 2 stroke oil!

However, idling it for 6 tanks of fuel wouldn't hurt. However, I find it strange. The 2-stroke engines for bicycles require a break-in process. The Fuelie engines and others alike aren't much different. Why does the Fuelie get excused from the break-in process?

mate 91% octane can be used on high compresion engine like the 30.5cc engine which need a different oil mix ratio 32.1 mix any thing under 91% octane will screw a expensive engine so use 91% or 95% thats if you can get it becasue our gas staions in the uk have 91% and thay have 97% octane in other places but my nearest sells 91% octane which is plenty for what i need for a 30.5cc engine upgrade for a lozi 5t

Do you know anything about 2 stroke engines? A 4 shoe clutch does not improve high rpm, and a stuffer crank actually decreases top speed. I don't believe 85kph, put a gps on it or use a radar gun, and you'll get no more than 70kph... If you're running stock gearing that is. Obviously top speed does depend on track/road surface and tire choice as some have a different diameter, so don't point out the obvious mate. Good luck getting 110kph...

"There is no danger of over priming the engine" is HORRIBLY wrong!!! You can easy flood an engine by over priming. other than that this video is spot on. But that comment is waaaayyy wrong, don't over prime ever. Over priming will foul plug and cause huge headaches!!!

JRC i've had a runaway with it, so I don't use it anymore.

Seems like they totally disregarded the break-in process. A fat birdie told me to break-in a Baja's gas engine, let it idle for 6 tanks. That's what I call time consuming.

race fuel is 102 to 105 octane 95 is standard pump fuel

there really isnt a break in rocess. and its not idiling 6 tanks of fuel. for the first tank you run it less then 3/4 throttle and very the entire tank. after that just run it like ya stole it.

if your unhappy with the speed. you can buy 62 cc engine, instead 26cc that comes with it. deal with it nooby.

those engines are generally broken in in the factory. but hpi is lazy and doesnt do it for you

I never said it definitely goes 110km/h, i said i could go up to 110km/h. Im running a stuffer crank and a lauterbacher 4 shoe racing clutch. My engine would maybe reach 85km/h but i have never cheked the actual performance of it. It also depends on what tyres your running and what conditions your running the baja on. If you use slicks and your on dry road then you willget a higher speed than if you were using dirt buster on grass or dirt. So when did you learn to troll fuck flaps

WRONG!! There is one danger issue with over priming the engine, and that is if the intake of the cylinder is open and you prime it full then pull the cord. Most unlikely to happen but it can. Then you can actually bend the piston shaft! If unlucky.
