Thank you very much for this video, especially the screen replacement part. I cannot believe why HP used adhesive to secure the lower part of the screen. They must have been a few screws loose (pardon the pun) to secure the lower half. Over time the adhesive will lose its stickiness because of the heat of the laptop. I managed to get my screen replaced myself after it broke down for a 2nd time, 1st repair was done by the shop under 1 year warranty. 2nd time they were asking too much money, so I did it myself using your guide. Anyway, very grateful & I have sent a donation. Seasons greetings to you & your family.

Awesome! Glad it helped. Yeah, the adhesive route is stupid. They're all doing it now. Thank you so much for the support. I really appreciate it. Happy holidays!

@@ItsBinhRepaired well I added the second drive. I didn't have an issue at all taking off the bottom cover. Once I got it started, I used a plastic pry tool. What surprised me was how small everything is. That battery connector looks much bigger in your video than in real life. Of course I powered down, pulled the bottom cover, and installed the drive. After a reboot the drive was there. Thanks for the tips.

First! (🤔only?) I saw Omen in the title and thought about what a crazy name that is. Then thought, uh oh, is this thing gonna live up to its name? Yup! You said a fascinating thing, you said that on many of these laptops, that the unit doesn't even have access to the GPU unless the A/C power adaptor/charger thing is plugged into the wall. It is interesting in several ways. I`m trying to remember if my hp laptop was plugged in when I was doing some benchmarking recently. I think that i will go back and retest just to see if it makes any difference in the results. I`ve got time on my hands while I wait for $300 worth of R/C truck parts walks here from China. hhhhhhhhh A couple quick things about my hp Camo edition. Firstly, it had like a total of 7 screws hidden under those 2 rubber strips that are the feet. And I got bored the other day and decided to do an experiment. It came with a whopping 4 GB of RAM. I had already bumped it up to one 8 GB stick. Both are/were of the 2400 MHz. So, I decided to add a second stick of 8 GB Ram except of the 2666 MHz. Just for some fun benchmarking (my idea of fun has sure changed over the years, lol) testing. Will it recognize it? Will it improve my R23 score? Will it explode? Yes, it recognized the 16 GB. No, my R23 score did not improve. No, it did not explode. Anywho, I'll be running the R23 again, making sure the A/C thing is plugged in. Bro, this screen is a bear. A bit similar to the Apple all in one screen that I broke the other day. Haha that split second when you saw that crack in the screen, when you were all, "Oh, Snap!" "Did I do that?" I haven`t finished watching the video yet, to see what happens. Bust out the popcorn boys! We got a nail biter, cliff hanger goin` on here! I am dying to know how much that screen costs. Is it even available? Where do you order parts from? Back to that Apple all in one, I had called my local computer store about that display, and if they could order a replacement for me. They said that they use a small, local, computer repair/sales shop to order their Apple parts. They can`t even order their own parts? Weeak! Ok, back to the video! Man, that 20 minutes that it was black screen were murder, lol. A fine job, son. So, this thing is a gaming PC? I would really like to see some benchmark test results on it. R23, Valley, Heaven, something. Oh, here`s one for you. I run a i9 100900k CPU and I mess around with overclocking it. While doing the OCing I run benchmarks to see the benefits. As my clock got higher, the benchmarks fell off. Cinnebench R23 and Heaven both fell off at 5.2 GHz. Valley hung on for 5.3 GHz and(!) 5.4 GHz. Yay! Valley! I could`nt even get completely out of the bios before it would crash with a 5.5 GHz try. I am totally ridiculous doing any of this because the only thing I use my desktop for is to play Medal of Honor multiplayer. Doh! Your video has Binh watched.

Hahaha I get parts from Amazon, ebay, and very rarely, some website like aliexpress. I don't overclock because of the possible risk of damaging customer parts. Glad to see you're enjoying the videos and pulling things apart.
