I read the comments about the filtered water and the injector tool, thank you for the explanation. Can you tell me do you wait any length of time before putting the printhead back together (i.e. for drying time)?

no need to wait for drying. just clean the connector with a fine paper and putt the printhead back.

Showing process was good, except needs some explanations. What are you injecting and what tool did you use to do that? Way to much time spent on static shots with nothing happening.

It's filtered water! Do not use alcohol or tap water! Also make sure its warm water (not boiling)

I've seen another successful repair video where they used 90% Isopropyl alcohol. Why is water preferred? Does it melt the nozzles or something?

That looks like a "Flavor injector" you can find at pretty much any dollar store in the kitchen department :)

Charles Birkner the reason you dont want to use alcohol is because alcohol dries and evaporates alot faster than water. You don’t want old ink to dry in the nozzle since alcohol will do that. But water will wash it away and dry slower. Make sense?

This looks like a perfect how to video for my situation. But, the annoying pornish background music makes it intolerable. Wish you could talk and explain what you are doing.

Right on Cathy with pornish music. All it was missing was a few chick, chick-a bow bow's. Good video, really keeps you guessing! Getting ready to try this soon as I get rid of this boner from the music! I applaud your efforts with the video and passing on the knowledge (as long as it fixes my problem, lol)..... Thanks

Has anyone actually been able to fix it once it says printhead not detected or is this all a waste of time and should I just buy a new printer? I’d prefer a quick and simple fix if it actually works, it these videos make me doubtful they actually work..:
