The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system kzread.infoUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.

For anyone who can't find their printer try holding the Wi-Fi button 20 seconds til the power light flashes, I think that clears its memory of the last Wi-Fi it was connected to

You don't need the SMART app either in fact. If you have a relatively new device i.e. last 2-3 years, there is an option to print directly from your phone. So you can print documents, pictures etc. directly from your phone.

I'm setting up 108w printer and unless I connect to the 'HP 108w setup' wifi, the app doesn't detect the printer..I couldn't connect the printer to my wifi network .. kindly advise the steps

There are three main consumer printers right now: ink catridge, ink resevoir/tank and laser. This printer is laser and uses toner rather than ink. Laser printers are more consumer-friendly the more you print.

Cartridge is just the plastic case. Ink cartridge is liquid, toner cartridge is dry powder. One is for inkjet printers, the other is for laser printers. Completely different technologies.

This is a laser printer hence with toner cartridge and not ink cartridge

how to reconnect it again to home wifi.it was connected then I pressed the wifi button in the printer by mistake and its is no longer connected or wants to connect

Marva try to go back to the HP smart app on your phone click add the printer and it will show your printer. You won't need to add the password again as it will recognise the password automatically.

Get the Wi-Fi Direct printer name (Example: DIRECT-72-HP OfficeJet Pro 6970) and password. Printers with a control panel menu: Touch the Wi-Fi Direct icon or button to view the Wi-Fi Direct name and password. Or from the Reports menu, print a Network Summary or Network Config page that lists the details Printers without a control panel menu: Print a network configuration report or help page. The name and password are listed under the Wi-Fi Direct section. To print a network report, use a method that matches the control panel buttons on your printer. Press the Information button . Press and hold the Wi-Fi Direct button for 3 seconds. Press the Wi-Fi Direct and Information buttons at the same time. Press and hold the Resume button ( or ) for up to 10 seconds or until the report prints. HP DeskJet 6000 and 6400, ENVY 6000, Pro 6400, and Tango printers: Touch and hold the Information button until all control panel buttons light up, and then touch the Information and Cancel buttons at the same time. Make sure paper is loaded in the main tray, and then turn on the printer. On your mobile device, go to HP Print Service Plugin in the Google Store, and then make sure it is installed and up to date. Open the item you want to print, and then tap Print. On the print preview screen, select your printer starting with DIRECT in the name and followed by the model name.

You can get the password from the back of your router or you need to print out network configuration report from HP smart app or wireless report to see the password

This printer is a piece of junk. I spent about three frustrating hours trying to connect it wirelessly to my computer until I finally gave up.

You need to print this out from your printer. Your WiFi Direct password is revealed when you print out your Network Configuration sheet from the printer.

Original HP manuals are just nightmare. Complementary info to this video how it worked for me (OnePlus 6/Android 10) Wifi setup procedure for New HP 107w printer (setup for brand new printer): 1. Download HP Smart app for your Android (Google Play) 2. Power on a printer HP 107w 3. On your phone go to your Wifi settings 4. Search for HP-SetupLaser 107w 5. Connect to this ad hoc printer Wifi network 6. Open HP Smart app on your phone 7. Tap "+" button in the left right corner 8. Tap "Add printer" button down at the bottom of the screen (don't tap the name of your printer yet although is shown on the top) 9. "Searching for printers" message will show -> do not interrupt 10. Tap "Printer Not Listed?" button 11. Tap "Find printer" 12. Grey dialog box will open with the name of your printer (HP-SetupLaser 107w) -> tap on it 13. Now "Let's set up this printer" page will be shown 14. Click " Continue" button 15. Select your Wi-Fi network and type in your Wifi password 16. Tap "Continue" 17. Automatic connection page will setup your printer and connect printer to your Wifi - but plese be patient...for me it took more than 30 seconds to complete whole process 18. Tap "Continue" button 19. Checking printer status page will be displayed for few seconds 20. Tap "Accept all" or "Manage option" when Connected printing services page will be shown (base on your preferences) 21. Finally tap "Print a Document" or "Skip Printing Page" as you wish 22. In my case I had one more page "HP Print Plugin is missing" with options "Not now" or "Continue" button. I chosed Continue and it redirected me to Google Play for download the plugin 23. I installed plugin and finally I was able to print from my phone :-) Wifi setup for already used HP 107w (e.g. setup in case your router password has been changed): - Power on your HP 107w printer - On your HP printer hold down Wifi button for at least 20 seconds until power button will start to blink in order to reset all Wifi setting stored in your printer - In HP Smart app in your phone tap and hold your printer name and choose "Forget This Printer" - Continue with all steps again from procedure above from the step 3. Hopefully it will help others as well as I spent hours with this wifi setup in order to come to the end of this procedure.

This printer needs a local router/modem connection to work.It CANNOT be connect via a mobile network. I did not know this when I bought it.I spent 2 hrs fiddling around with it in vain Stupid instruction sheet DOES NOT SAY THIS. So Im sure Im not the only guy who found this out aftet buying it The reviwers in youtube and elsewhere do not tell you. The brochure also does not. O spent 2 hrs messing around trying to connect it.Its aftet I bought this thing and troed to connect it wirelessly that Ifound out it cannot be connected wireless to a mobile network.I do not have a cable internet nor a router at home , so this cannot be connected wireless. You cannot use it in your car or on the move. Damn.It goes back tomorrow to the shop with a mouthful. The

The printer caused me a lot of problems I do not recommend it is very annoying to install and operate easily with it

Your frustration is relatable to many this is part of the problem this channel is trying to tackle .As we noticed often the instruction from the company is not clearer as it should be
