For that they would need Microsoft to include consumers in their development and production scope. Windows Central is still a consumer-facing portal, and Microsoft is letting consumers henceforth Windows Central behind. I am disappointed as well, but I expect less and less subscribers because of this. :(

Hi Daniel. I would like to ask a question. Everyone is making a huge fuss about the display and couldn't get my hands on any of these in Taipei. I am thinking of going with the G6 and there is only a matte option. Can i know whether, based on your tests that display is ok for extended work sessions? I do research, browsing and writing articles for long hours. The sole alternative i see is the Dell 4200 2 in 1 as my X1 Yoga didn't live up to the expectations. Thanks in advance for any help.

As much as I love the 1040 X360 size and form factor, for the same price in Canada one can get the Zbook Studio X360 with an i7-8750H cpu, a Quadro P1000 gpu, a 4K display and better ports. The memory and storage sucks on the Zbook (HP has a very limited model selection in Canada and doesn't offer customization here), but you can easily swap those out for something better yourself. I think this makes the Zbook a better buy, so long as you don't mind the slightly larger size.

Any news about a 10th gen version? Comet lake or ice lake? Maybe even a 25watt ice lake version?

Make sure to buy the one with the privacy screen to get a brighter screen. Also the 4k is nice but hard to find as most IT departments don't feel the need for 4K laptops.

thinking of getting the g6 or the hp spectre for my uni studies as a film student. The price for the g6 with 1tb and 16gb is £1,770 but I want to get something that lasts long, is convertible, has good battery life and can run DaVinci and this looks like the best laptop for it and I love its design, especially when compared to the spectre

I have the 840 G5 and after the last bios upgrade the fans are not as active. What needs to happen though is to have two fans in it so it can spin at lower speeds and still cool the laptop properly. I simply do not understand why HP is not standardizing the port selections. Mine has for instance a barrel power plug, why not two USB-c ports? the cooling has the outlet on the side, this can be a hindrance on a desk when there is paperwork in the way blocking the outlet. i do not understand the need for an x360 model with this kind of weight. There are much better devices in the enterprise to use for drawing and taking notes. Screen: well you touched on it, the softening of the screen is bothering my eyes. i have contacted HP and they are sending someone out to take a look with me at it. I also find the screen to be very "red" even after the calibration. maybe it is my device only, just wanted to get some feedback. The delete key is absurdly small and placed right on top of the Home key - useless!! and leading to many typos. Overall the speed of this Elitebook is satisfying to very good, keep in mind to have both channels filled with memory (2x8 or 2x16) to occupy all 4 lanes. Yes, a separate graphics card option should be added.

Wow! A Power button on the side. How nice. I wonder why no other models have this. This is all I'd need for some users, who use their laptops only with an external monitor. And what I would use it with if it had one like this.

It's completely different, since this is the professionnal brand of HP. It's more on the level of the Spectre, and even abode considering specs like the matte display, the keyboard, the 3 mics, the Sure View option, and the Security Features :)

@@rouslanparov4375 My bad, I think it was a Pavilion X360 the Envy is similar to, I saw those two at Walmart side by side once and they looked exactly the same except for the color and logo.

Reviews how they should be done.

Floyd Bezos It’s a business notebook, as noted in the video. If you want the colorful consumer counterparts, look at the HP Spectre X360 or HP Envy X360.

Chris Churchill I would hate to hold a tablet with no bezels. I already unintentionally tap things on my iPad with super thin side bezels.

You lost me when you said "If you have the money!"

That top bezel is really ugly... Why are they still doing that! There are laptops with IR cameras with really slim bezels (Asus Zenbook UX333, 433, 533).

@@theminuteman6211 there is a plastic strip on the back of the screen for the antenna. If it's a business product it doesn't mean that it should look like crap. The laptop seems sleek otherwise yet they ruin the look of it with that thick ass bezel
