I'm looking at buying a 840 G1 i5 4600uwith Radeon 8750m for 290 euros, I have a feeling it is a decent deal.

I think that is G2 model. The m2 ssd port on G1 is 2242, an yours is 2260. G1 and G2 looks similar outside.

You have to forget to expand the G5 with SATA Drive as well, no space for a second drive :(

It's great! You can do alot of stuff as the processors are good, and you might be able to play games quite a lot of games as long as you turn down the graphics

I'm just going to upgrade my G1

Video games rely on video card. 840 is not good at it.

I can run it on my i3 2350 with only integrated intel hd 3000, but it wasn't a smooth experience, sometimes lag occurred. Considering you use newer generation than mine, I'm pretty sure that your device should be able to run it a little bit better.

super simple: also supports charging..Oh Thats a good thing i have been seen in g5 ..LOL

G1 is better
