You are surprising, not only because of the simplicity that solves things that are complicated, but also because of the patience you have in explaining in such detail. I'm watching every video of his like it's the best Netflix series, and I can't help but be amazed. I acknowledge that I have learned beyond what I thought I imagined, thank you for your dedication. A big greeting from Argentina
Extremely informative and entraining. It's like watching Sherlock, but with electronics. Thank you!

I only can agree, this guy taught me so much, it is incredible how easy and understandable he makes things. I just separated my iphone xs mainboard on my oven, controlling the temparature with an ir termometer, it worked well and i see now that my charging ic seems to be the problem ! He is GOD for me...
Savage way - "bring amps and see what it getting hot". Love it!
YES, you are good ! Using ohms, current and volts you work your way through complex circuits and solve difficult faults.. I like your term " bruit force" ! A great description.
I love watching you fix stuff, because you make it seem so easy and when i tried to do it myself it turned out it is not that easy. :D
Thank you dear sir. :) normally i dont comment on videos but you sir deserve it. keep up the good work.
You've taught me much about motherboard repair. You're a very good teacher and i can see your channel going very far. Hope for the best for your future :)
you have a very straightforward way of teaching your troubleshooting skills. great job.
You're a genius. I always spent time watching your videos.
You not only a good engineer but also a good teacher .we can learn from you very easy way with difficult problem and this is amazing.
Now I want to go back on my field of work and fix things again because of you Sir.. Your the best!!

I had the same issue with my HP 15. Found this video, removed the same diode and hey presto! Many thanks

You really should add a 25v zener diode to protect the laptop for over voltage. I don’t like it that Sorin don’t add a new one too...
@arnolduk123

@@Todestelzer The diode don't protect the laptop, that's why it's in Sorin's hands. It's purpose is to stop the laptop from working when another power adapter with only a few volts over spec is used. Voids the warranty if use any power adapter other than HP. The fuses on the board protect the laptop and using the correct power adapter is what really protects the laptop.
bro you are a very wise guy there are a lot I am learning from you
Bravo Sorin nice Lesson!!! Keep the school running!!!
From Last week I Found Your channel on KZread and that's what I am searching for. Now I watch your video everyday. And I like your beginner series put some other video like this. Thanks for Everything 👌

The diode is their to punish the consumer for using a copy cat charger LOL that was a nice and quick repair video as always
Well done mate, you have mad skills.
I don't know whether I'll be troubleshooting all that stuff that you do but lemme tell you one thing I watch them just to feel good and get pepped up. So much positive energy. Say suppose I cook a nice meal today and people compliment me that's because of YOU. Your , amps, volts and ohms makes it possible. 😀I think I should watch your video first thing in the morning and then go about my daily business for you feel great the whole day whatever happens. You deserve kudos. Thank you so much. Good luck, much love and best ever. Cheers. 👍😍
I'm from Morocco and I always watch your videos. Thanks
I have one word to say to you, a genius
I have the exact same problem, and to think I found it myself with a chinese multimeter and a zippo petrol is beyond me. If only I came across this video earlier. I should mention that its my first time trying to diagnose a faulty motherboard. You sir are the best of the best. I told everyone that same thing you told us at the end. THE LAPTOP WILL WORK WITHOUT THE DIODE TRUST ME. Its only there to protect from universal chargers which exactly was the case of my laptop and why that diode went faulty. Thank you for all your lessons sir.
Hi sorin , it was one of your best video ,it was perfect .please upload more .keep it up

I don't know how he is gonna fix this.. at some point I've got interested. And now I'm here with some knowledge (like a cup of water from the sea). Now i think i should try to fix a real laptop motherboard. I'm gonna get one from junk yard. I'll try to fix it. (I know its too early, but let me try😂😂) Keep up the good work chief.. God bless you..

I used a 12V / 21W bulb (from my car) in series with the 19V from the power supply to find shorts. It works fine and costs nothing. + -----------(12v/21w)----------- > 3A to test motherboard
