If you have a pin set for 100yrds, it’s pretty doable to get good shots for a compound archer. 20 in a row though, man . Impressive

I don't know much about compounds or crossbows are they usually more powerful than compounds?

C Wisted a crossbow will almost always be more powerful; with a compound bow you are limited by how much draw weight you're capable of physically pulling back with and how long your able to hold that weight at full draw. The mechanical advantage of a crossbow, especially when used with a crank, means it can pull back 3x or even 4x the draw weight of a compound bow without needing to exert any extra energy holding a bow at full-draw.

@ Thanks for the response I'm about to look up this Raven. Always wanted a compound hunting bow what would you recommend? I have a single cam that was given to me for target shooting so I'm getting better but still consider myself brand new to compound bows.

The crossbow bolts went deeper into the target than the bow’s arrows. So it seems to me that the crossbow could shoot even further than the bow

I do think you should group by averaging the distance from center.

I do the minimum diameter of a circle including all the arrows and the center of the target. I also don't measure my group very often but I think this is a very accurate representation.

Great video. What's very noticeable is the increased penetration of the crossbow.

1st) I LOVE how your kids were there with you! And mighty cute kids as well :) 2nd) the compound bow shooter is a pimp. No scope and he almost beat the xbow with a scope. 3rd) that xbow hits like a mule kicks!

Am I the only one more impressed by the penetration of the arrows fired with the crossbow at 100 yards than the accuracy, some of them were into the target up to the vanes, wow

Cool vid I think my pin would cover the target at 100 yards. One thing to note is how fast the Ravin gets to the target and how much more penetration.

Chris is the best shooter I have ever watched, he has motivated me to practice more and more and get better at longer distances so that by chance we meet at a range I will be able to beat him at long distance

very cool, solid shooting from both, interesting crossbow definitely has more power , bow is accurate but hardly can compare the impact at this range

The hunt relevance is the first shot. the compound is more tiring but also more accurate. But the crossbow lends itself better to a prone shot from cover.

Getting an RX3 later this year, can’t wait!

To all the meat headed compound bow owners out there just remember you can't compete at this range. Crossbow wins hands down every time.

How many fps is the crossbow? Also draw weight? I have a kinetic by bear , it's 128 lb draw 370 fps what should I sight it in for? I have it at 50 yards right now

Nice comparison, had so much fun watching this. For me personaly the hoyt bow is my favorite , because of the 3x bullseye hits and his faster reload time. Otherwise the crossbow is a litle bit faster on arrow speed, the " smack in " sounds soo nice...but at least very good shooters on both sides, with amazing results i did not expected at 100 yards in the beginning of the clip.

As a string maker for a bow shop I absolutely despise makeing crossbow strings and cables

Is it safe to say that the crossbow bolt carries more force when it hits the target? Compound looks like it looses it's power at such a distance.
