As a drummer I love seeing Pridgen playing jazz fusion in these small clubs! Would love to see this in person! Blessings.

Well Thomas is indeed a overplaying and rushing guy. So i really think those musicians understand how he aproachs music and drums. Also he is not the "pocket tight guy", he is way more experimental on stage, he enjoys taking more risks. Its just his style. The part where it hits badly its the very beggining, he start on the wrong back beat. Also he plays too much notes on the very end of the bass solo. Besides that, I know those musicians are aware of Thomas playing because he is a beast and has background.

Thomas is an incredible drummer , one of the best but Just cause you can play a million miles an hour doesn’t mean it is always warranted. Groove responsibly and not kill the groove.

Am I the only one who thinks that's too much activity on the drums...I don't think it serves the song.

I’ll say this. There are times when he does too much but he’s just having a lot of fun. My main thing is the way he started lmao his 2 & 4 were on 1 & 3 then tiny readjusted to line up with Thomas

Eh - it’s instrumental music in a jazz club. You are kind of there to witness people going for it
