I was 16 in 1981, the 80's was so awesome, I would give anything to be able to go back, soooo many good memories Howard Jones & nick kershaw were at the top of their career, I'm just glad I was part of this decade, the kids of today have no idea what awesome music is.....

I turned 16 in 1981, too. My friends group then couldn't understand why I enjoyed Howard Jones, Thomson Twins, Sisters Of Mercy.... they just didn't get it. Still so good to listen to 🥰

Howard is a man before his time, his music was and still is beautiful.

I was born in 83. Living in Atlantic city this played all over the boardwalk on the radio in the late eighties. Seems like a time caught in imagination and discovery. Difficult and simplistic.

This guy was amazing, he was the epicenter of british pop in the 80's, but he had such a mix of raggae, soul, blues-you name it, and it was CLASSIC!

What music we had back then , This song is banging ,love it . The eighties what a time ,just look at what kids have got to listen to today, ...PURE CRAP. !!!

Also the the bridge in "Things Can Only Get Better" is powerful sounding too! In fact both, songs' bridges were sampled into house tracks by Mohito & Eric Prydz respectively.
