The Volkswagen Beetle engine was originally a aircraft engine . And is still used over here in Europe to power some engine assisted gliders .

They are still used hear in Canada for home built aircraft.
The Pietenpol Air Camper has no dihedral in the wing. If I built one, I would build in about 3 degrees of dihedral to aid in roll stability. 🤠
