Zolita didn't think she'd be a musician. The aspiring filmmaker posted a music video she'd made - about falling in love with her best friend - online during her sophomore year at NYU, and to her surprise it went viral. As the LGBTQ community bonded over the experience of harboring feelings for a friend, Zolita realized that this - telling stories about queer love - was her calling, and hasn't looked back.
