Serena Smith

Serena Smith

On the Table is an intimate and irreverent talk series about the messiness of being human, hosted by slowly reforming perfectionist and incorrigible flirt Serena Smith.

Shot live over cocktails from an LA restaurant banquette, the series is inspired by Serena and director-husband Ian Smith's former boss Larry King - who early in his career shot a show live from a Miami diner booth - and sobremesa: the free-flowing conversations had around the table after a good meal with friends.

New episodes are streamed live the last Wednesday of every month at 3p pt/6p et. Next episode is July 31!

This talk show & podcast is powered by Studiobox Productions.

I love ZanePhillips. A totally underrated and under-recognised actor. You can see it in him and in his (way too small) body of tv/cinema work to date. He’s a very talented actor with depth and intelligence. I’m impatiently waiting for a producer/director to nab him for a lead in something of quality. Then he’ll totally shine. 👏🏼👏🏼❤️👏🏼👏🏼

It’s only recently (after I’d seen him in a few things) that I realised Zane is a REALLY good actor. He acts with insight and intelligence and he does so much more than just say lines and pull faces (like a lot of actors). He deserves a BIG break because I really think his career could be amazing. He’s got that special quality but he’s also very grounded. What’s not to love? ❤

Since when was making jokes of taking drugs funny and in spite youd take alcohol instead. Donyou know how many people in the gay community and generally have overdosed on drugs because people like you belive its light heartetedness. How many people have lost brothers and sisters and how many parents had to deal with not having theor kids? Yet you frivilously trickle it in like its fun

I just loved the conversation 😭😍… you can feel like they truly have a relationship and connect with one another . It felt like watching them have a private conversation inside their house. Love the intimacy , the body language and their openness. I feel like I could be friends with them 😢 , this is the kind of conversation I wish I had more of with my friends 😊. Love the segment around gender expression and being hyper vigilant as minorities 😮... And Zane is beautiful inside and out 🥰love to see pure inner beauty colliding with positive queer representation ♥️

This interview with her is SO good. It hit a different level than normal pods that hit a surface level, and you elevated it with such intelligence and a deeper thought process that so resonated. I appreciate that type of conversation SO much! I’ve re-listened to reflect on this conversation and to say I was captivated, engaged, and riveted is an understatement. It’s left me with a profound impact and I keep stripping away more layers to this chat. Never understood the need to come out, it's nobody's business and I mean nobody. You choose to tell those who may not know but otherwise it's your business. Family have no special need to know. They'll get it eventually.

I'm late! I feel like I desire something and don't know what it is, but I know it will fulfill me. What's wild is growing up as a female, you hear that having a child will fulfill that. As a 31 year old, I struggle with that. I am 50/50 and not committed to either. I feel as though there is something I am meant for in the creative business world and helping people. Love a delicious cocktail! My favorites are anything with Mezcal - shoutout to Espita Mezcaleria in Washington, DC for introducing me with a free shot! (sadly, they are permanently closed) I have been strongly pulled to get my natal chart read. I think I am just afraid of the answers I will receive. wow.. I am writing this as you're conversing. The naysayers answers!!! bish. Yes! I love being weird! I love that she approaches tarot in this way. It's similar to why I love Qveen's aura cleanses, because she cusses and says "bitch, my nipples are tingling" hahaha! It's just so human and real and authentic. ok wow... I almost didn't write my age, but I felt it was needed, and here you both go with "33 was the craziest year" - we're on to something, I feel it. I am tuned in. ugh, the intersections, yes!! I feel that. I know what I have learned will somehow intertwine with what I will be doing in the future. (which is ???!!??) That is such a beautiful love story 🥰 I also manifest good parking spaces! Especially at Target and Costco haha! I am processing so much listening to all this. You mentioned getting "clean and clear" for your intuition to be tuned in, and I feel that. I have been wanting to have a sort of refresh before I start my new job next week. (I was hoping my soul would be renewed going to the Qveen Herby show in Atlanta, but it didn't work out unfortunately. Still holding our for more tour dates!) HAHAH WOW not me bringing up babies in the beginning of this comment! Some of Ian's reading resonated with me. Love ALL THIS. Where can I book with Angie? 😂 Aww I love this. I am also not a visual person. I want tattoos but can't see them and don't even know where to begin to explain what i want. Ok, I am planning a trip to LA just to go to Stud Country 😆 okay Serena with the what makes you feel the sexiest question! I need to force myself into that class too.🙊 thank you soo much for being a safe space and GOING FOR IT! Proud of you. Excited for the next podcast. Thank you for the genuine light you exude. 💗
