Being a parent is a huge responsibility. Perhaps your parent loves you so much that they didn't want anything under their control to adversely affect you and they had no idea their behavior could have a negative impact on you. Maybe something traumatic happened to your parent to make them fearful for you and they didn't even know they needed counselling. If this is a problem for you, perhaps counselling will help you. It's easy to blame the parent.

“No relationship can truly grow if you go on holding back. If you remain clever and go on safeguarding and protecting yourself, only personalities meet, and the essential centers remain alone. Then only your mask is related, not you. Whenever such a thing happens, there are four persons in the relationship, not two. Two false persons go on meeting, and the two real persons remain worlds apart.”

I hope there will be more awareness on the national stage to save kids from abusive parents /guardians.

Learning to live with yourself. And the teaching of knowing how to be alone, very different from feeling lonely. That is linked with the change of shift between 1700-1850 with further on: before the 1850s, books were released seeking success through Self-Betterment, the golden rule, and "Ethics of Character" => then in 1850+ it shifted towards Ethic of Personality (completely superficial & virtue signal).

@@karinanikoghos7285 by recognizing my issues and needs. At the beginning of my journey 18 years ago stopped repeating negative relationship patterns, chose to be alone to heal, go through therapy, and sought spiritual knowledge and application. It was not and still is not easy. But I'm more mindful. I changed my toxic friendships, work on not self soothing, recognize behavioral response patterns and change them. It's a process. Now I'm more cognizant of why I want to be with or engaged with certain people and can discern whether or not they are healthy for me. Hope this helped? well, I got called out, and everything was scathingly accurate to me till at least 4:30ish. I was the 5th child in a family with working parents. In my latest relationship I just tried to limit myself to a hi or bye once a day, though the person I was dating likes being distant, and sometimes goes off the grid for a month or two... and I couldn't deal with it. I'm glad to know how to categorize this, and now I hope to take steps to soothe the anxiety. Its crazy because the word "anxiety" wasn't in my dictionary until a year ago... so I'm happy to be able to describe these things now.

I find myself feeling like the victim, but now I understand what I'm doing.. this is what is familiar for me, so even though it hurts, it feels safe.. I've been anxious all my life, so it only makes sense that I'm keeping myself trapped in this cycle.. it's time to break it though.. hope you do too.💕

I recently broke up with my ex gf who was loving, caring and kind and trustworthy. Always made me feel good - however, I constantly accused her of stuff and was constantly anxious and on-edge. I broke up with her maybe 8 times in a year and finally the last straw came last month. We haven't spoken since and I want her back, but I think it's too late. Listening to this made me realise my loving mother who died when I was 8 and my oldest brother (who was my second mum) suddenly left the house when I was 10, impacted the relationship severely. So i was basically left to raise myself.

I see, I knew why I grew up like this. I was bullied in school when I was a kid. It last up to 8 years. It started when I started school in elementary. They find me easy target as my skin is brown and I'm chubby plus my sister who is a year younger than me is in the same school. My sister is very pretty with fair skin, long shiny hair and just pretty. So that's another reason why children in school bully me by comparing us. How pretty she is and how ugly I am. Growing up is very hard. I have to suck all of those painful situations and I have no friends to defend me and no parent to defend me because I'm scared to tell them especially to my mom cos she is one of the person who criticize how I look. Also, my dad cheated on my mom (now I get trust issues) . I stopped joining any sports and arts related (which I love doing) because of bullying, because I don't have any support on me. When growing up, I got the thinking that when I have good stuffs in me people likes me more. So I try to please people to the point that I sacrifice my own just to please them so that they'll like me. Even in relationship.. Yes, I've been through a lot of relationship but mostly abusive. I realized a lot and changed a lot better but still my past haunts me. I just wanna forget it all but I can't. It's like a cycle.. and it's tiring. Some of the closest people I have sometimes would ask me why my way of thinking is like this (very negative) and I tell them but I don't think they understand. Here I am just sucking it all. I'm just trying everyday. One thing I promised to myself tho, if in the future I have my own family and kids. I won't let my children experience what I experienced now.

Then the realisation it wasnt my /our fault.... then the calm.. then the self improvement... then the... wait.. am I I guilty? REPEAT. ( what a tough cycle).

Hi I recently did a video on teen anxiety with some advice to help youth and parents obtain some guidance in this serious matter. My son suffered from this condition and I use my career experience to help others. If you or someone you know find my video helpful, please forward so we can help the ones who suffer. kzread.info/dash/bejne/X6pryLR9advggZM.html

Knowing that I possibly caused trauma on my second child, I have 3, she is 6. When she was 9months old, I started being very anxious and depressed, something I wasn’t aware of till she was 3-4. I’m always analyzing myself and I think wow, I broke my kid. She does seem to have this personality. She was born very needy, she wouldn’t go with anyone not even her dad, it was all me, that exhaustion took a toll on me and I was not well, I can see that now. But I’m improving every single day, working on myself and how to be better for me and them, but, what can I do to rectify this situation? What can I do to help her have a better life?

I cope with relationship anxiety by not having relationships :). I don't think I do have relationship anxiety. I just don't want it. I have never encountered a relationship I felt was worth having, or striving for. In general I do not believe it is worth the effort. Living alone is good. I think this is the one good decision I made in my life.

If you're able to feel good on your own, you won. You really won. We don't need other people to make us happy, we have to be happy by ourselves and love ourselves more than anyone ever. I mean maybe someday you'll meet someone who perfectly suits you and the way you want to live, and maybe you'll want them to go along your way forever. If I were you, I would just go on living the way I do, but I wouldn't 'forbid' myself to get attached to anyone. Maybe they can complete you even more and make the hard times in life a little easier to live through. I wish you all the best, don't ever give up on yourself!

Thanks for sharing your feelings. When you have overcome your anxiety, you will build relationships, don't worry. It can take one year or ten years. The important thing is to work on this anxiety first. Don't let it exist somewhere as a hidden squeletton in a cupboard.

Doesnt really make sense though, cause ive been avoidant jn relationships and anxious, just depends more on the person im in the relationship than it does my parents.. If it was because of my upbringing, wouldnt i always be one oe the other? I was always kind of avoidanr til i met my wife, after 7 years of marriage to another avoidant, i became anxious unknowingly. Its much easier being avoidant, makes me want a divorce feeling like this. Not sure if its her fault or mine

I have always suspected my wife was cheating on me. We have been married for 12 years now and its been a smooth ride until last year when she changed and started seeing other men. A friend of mine linked me up with a great hacker ultimater Hack who helped me hack into her phone, I had complete access to her phone right on my device and I could monitor all her activities for the past 2years and also have access to new notifications, her location, call logs, text messages and all. I was left with no other choice.I loved my wife so much and I just dont know why she chose to betray me, I have been a good husband and never for once cheated on her. I tracked her down to a hotel where I found her with another man . You can contact them at ultimatehack003 at gmail or Whatsapp +17202954268 or text and call them directly on the same number. They helped me get access into her phone without even touching her phone.I have enough evidence against my wife now and I am thinking of Filing for divorce. I want advice from men and other women on here, should I give her another chance because of our kids or file for divorce ? We have a 9 months old baby.

My sister in Law and her daughter have the same relationship. The girl is 35 now, and in hospital 3 times in a year for troubles like weight loss, taking weight, pills... She has 2 little boys that are all the time at my sister in Law's, their mother is not capable of taking care of them more than 3 days in a week, her household is becoming a huge mess. The daughter is divorced and started a new relationship with a very anxious and caring man, she thinks he is perfect.... and again left her two boys at her mother's to follow the new boyfriend for holydays....
