The mage and adc standing together makes such a difference, started doing it with a friend and climbed all the way to silver, which is trash objectively but for me was a big step

@@elvisjean-pierre8618 as a damage dealer it depends on who you're able to hit most of the fight. if you cant get damage off on their squishies as an adc for example, you might not want to build full crit. pen would be a better option. as an adc if theyre always grouped up obow is a great item (its great anyway but even better for clustered team fights as you do damage to everyone by hitting one person) but if their mid laner is destroying the tanks or someone else is, then crit would work alot better than pen because squishies wont have alot of prots you need to shred. as a mage it's a little different. you almost always want at least 30% pen. if they have alot of HP then soul reaver and/or ethereal staff work wonders. not usually a good idea to build both though because e-staff takes max hp from them and soul reaver passive works from max hp but lets say for example a cthulhu solo laner is constantly running it down, those 2 items together destroy him.

@@elvisjean-pierre8618 with poseidon mid you dont need to worry about CDR too much. 10 or 20% is all you really need. you want to blow people up with your kraken and all in them. make sure you target someone who you know doesnt have their actives up otherwise your ult is gone which is a massive part of your late game fight.

@@elvisjean-pierre8618 also make sure to abuse your movement speed from the passive. pos is one of the best mid mages to farm with since you can run to wave, put down your 3, run to xp camps, clear it fast, run back to wave, clear wave, run to red and clear that fast too. their mid laner will fall behind quickly as long as he isnt getting kills elsewhere. for example a nu wa wont be able to farm as fast as you. by the time you did neutral xp camps, 2 waves and your xp camp, the nu wa will have cleared the waves and started her own xp camp at best.

Great video, lot of good info here, I'd love to see something this in-depth on warding and counter warding, most videos I find are old or are very basic. Or maybe a video about the game stages and explaining how to recognize when you should be team fighting or going for an objective, etc.

Great video. What do you do when the other players aren’t positioning correctly? How do you adapt your positioning/goals to pick up the slack and or just not die while also contributing if your the mid and not getting any peel or if your adc ignores when you get jumped? Edit: I guess another branch of this would possibly be variations based on tactics, how does your positioning change if you’re fighting 4v5 during a split push or something similar?

He sort of explained it in the video without saying it. Peel refers to doing actions to stop enemy players from aggressing on your teammates. For tanks like solos and supports, you use your crowd control like stuns, roots, slows, etc or even body blocking the enemy. For damage dealers like adc, mid, and jungle, you can use your damage to kill or scare off the enemy.

you want to focus more on the person you're peeling for instead of the enemy when you're peeling. if your teammate is CC'd, try and cleanse him or buy him time by CCing them. if your teammate is getting dove, shell him and cc the enemy. it's the little things like that, that turn the fight completely in your favour.

So a peel doesn't necessarily have to be full on diving to help a teammate it's just more of a help your dps then

This video needs to be mandatory viewing before playing ranked at the very least. I’m sick of the number of carries who straight up frontline teamfights and get farmed, the number of junglers who initiate teamfights and get farmed, the number of solos who stick to peeling instead of diving carries, and finally the supports who tunnel vision dive and don’t peel.

I think next time if you do this you should cover rotations of every role, both late and earily game, would help a lot of new players.

rotating as support is fairly simple. you look at who needs help and where the enemies are at. if there's 3 people running over to gank your solo laner, you would either go help him or do gold with the rest of your team. if your mid laner is 4 levels up with a 2k gold lead, chances are you wont need to stay in mid with him so that gives you the freedom to go gank other lanes. my personal favourite thing to do as support is invade blue buff around 6-10 mins into the game along with your solo laner.

@@linx4677 For me when i started smite years ago KZreadr Sloth helped me a lot, he made a detailed guide about rotating and switching lanes, that helped me a lot to become a better player at the time, now things have changed obviously. if i was a new player, learning rotations would be crutial, a lot people play Smite from previous MOBA experience and know basics about roles but rotation in smite is fairly different from other MOBAS. And i think Weaken would cover it perfectly.
