My brother lived in a apartment complex in the early 80's He drove a 67 Firebird, every time he locked it up someone would break into it and steal the stereo or try to steal the car. (He had a kill switch on it). He started leaving it unlocked and in nice weather he would leave the windows down. Nobody ever bothered it.

I think another good tip would be to have a trusted and reputable mechanic check out the car before purchasing it. That $100 can possibly save you thousands

Lol fr though….There’s actually a way easier way to prevent theft with your demon/hellcat…Open the shifter cover by simplifying popping it off. Then pull out the ECM master key, it should unplug like a relay box and simply take it with you. Now…If some moron wants to steal your car, they’ll have to have a master key flashed to your specific ecm, and have their own master key to flash to it also, and that’s pretty hard to do…Most car thieves don’t go to that great of lengths to take a car. If it’s from a different car where the vin and mileage don’t line up though, it will go into a lockout mode until it has the right one in place. Hopefully this helps anyone that is worried about the same. It was made with it for this reason though, to do just that. The only other car I’ve ever seen with a something somewhat similar to it was back in 88 when ford made the thunderbird turbo coupe and svo mustangs, except theirs was just a disconnect, and not linked to the cars ecm.

Buy the neutral strap and odb port block of plates. Won't no body be stealing it after that unless they have alot of time.

See what I used to do was carry around a jar of broken glass. And I’d roll down the window and pour the grass on the ground and leave the door slightly open. And some wires to stick out of my console so at a quick glance it looks like the radio is gone. 😂

All you need are some works boots, tools, and a now hiring sign on the windshield bruh 🤣🤣
