I've found so much wisdom in practicing stoicism. As long as I know I did the right thing, I'm not going to be bothered by other people's own words and actions. I don't allow myself to retaliate or even think about it. I can respond and stand up for myself, but I have to decide if it's really worth the effort: "Am I not doing this out of spite or am I sincerely trying to help others be better?"

The anger is healthy because people's behavior is usually terrible. I choose to get angry and stay angry because I am not a fragile idealist who doesn't know what to do with a negative emotion. Anger can be quite productive and protective. Calming, even.

the time of putting up with rude, stupid, entitled and unkind individuals is over.. i agree DerHammer.. the problem is see with anger arising from interactions with these types of de-evolved people is that it will allllways disintegrate into chaos.. they have no ability to ration, reason and no upbringing with manners or sense enough to be mannerly… i just stay on the periphery now with humanity and make no eye contact🥳🥳.. my inner peace is worth waaaay more than to engage..

Choosing not to be angry leads to mental supression of an emitional energy. It gets denied, supressed and didowned and will open you up to unconcious passive agressive behaviour. Righteous anger is a healthy emotion, BUT..... while feeling anger, acknowledge the emotion, find out what its message is, let the emotion pass and do not sin.

Interesting so a person that is discapacitated in his mind is (can be) a know person but a person that is discapacitated in mind and emotion is a person that know and compose . Thats very important to read and practice the Torah ( and Bible ). Let's know G-d and apply his commandments !

Emotional itelligence imust run parallel to the dos and don'ts of the society you live in. Political correctness is big in our current society. It is marked by trends and psychology and E.I. conform accordingly. What was normal 30 years ago is not normal in our curremt age. This is because our society seems to change ever more quickly while old cultures, as far as those are not impeded by modernity, see much less change. Emotional Intelligence, by definition, must take current sensitivities into consideration. More than ever there are ideological tensions within society. E.I. is not quantifiable and it has the quality of adaptation, it is not fixed and an individual cannot be measured according to an E.I. standard. It shows the level of conformity in a person, a kind of agreeableness to the ever changing norms within society. Some people clearly have had enough of this and instead cling to fixed standards, possibly conservative ones. In contrast to cognitive intelligence there is no stability to be found in the concept of emotional intelligence. Maybe because it is based on too many changeable issues. Also the idea of how to be 'a nice person' is linked to a supposed high E.I. But it demands identification with the dominant culture to such an extent, that people will express what is considered the norm, not seldom the corporate norm. And that should be called somebody's innate 'intelligence'? Or is it just a matter of wanted or unwanted attitude?
