Hey guys, I hope you enjoy this video I re-uploaded from the archives now that I'm free and clear to do so. I've seen a few comments about the approach from the behind (in 2023 vs 2014 or 2015 when this was originally recorded)... if you'd like to avoid that approach and just do the "walk with" style approach instead, it's an option (though you won't get the girl to stop immediately, so you may need to go from walking to stopped later... which you can do by slowing down and planting your feet). Also, a note on the "tap" on the shoulder. It's extremely light -- no "grabbing" girls! And it also doesn't linger. It's to get their attention ONLY... by the time they know anyone tapped them on the shoulder, the hand isn't there, and the fact that they're walking means there is also space between you and her (so you're not in up in her face). Hope this helps.

The old pickup content is so valuable that you could re-release your original courses and just narrate your old approaches and old narration with 2023 updates.

Alternating between lesson and demo is an amazing way to convey a strong message and keep the audience's attention. You have gotten way better at that recently, I remember older videos I would dose off halfway through as you very meticulously explain everything. But a demo clip is worth a thousand words.

I dont think its the best idea to tap her on a shoulder from behind. It can work but ideally you should walk past her and than start the interaction from front/side.

Most, if not all dating coaches wouldn't recommend starting conversations from behind but it's still a decent advice if there's no way to talk other than from behind.

In the last 2 approaches, girls almost went away. I am sure 90% of men would just give up and let go, but see how Todd is being consistent and devoted. Also, 3rd one seems needy and does not look good, but as Todd said, we are not playing to look good, we are playing for win. At last, he won the number. We can learn so much from this short clip

@@rwyo83 I understand, I watched his other videos aswell I'm just saying I don't think he looked needy, yes, could the back approach come off as needy for most people? sure. but if your argument is just that he was chasing her, chasing her doesn't soley or always give off needy vibes. if it was at night time, in a unpopulated steet and he was chasing her like this he could seem creepy, or scary, not needy I'm just saying to me, he didn't come off as needy. and I don't even think it's a discussion past the part where he says: I have to go meet my friends in 2 seconds aswell 3:33 at 3:42 he also says he wants to see if she's sort of a cool person, implying he doesn't need her, he's not needy..... TO ME AT LEAST. shrug. and to the others that liked my comment, which has almost surpassed the original commenters likes but also the 3rd one wasn't an approach from behind, at 3:00 he puts on the screen that its the walking with approach and at 3:16 you can see he starts from infront, but walking the same direction, so the side, and speaks to her before she ever passes him it seems like you tried to say the third one was an approach from behind, is that what you think?

@@mysticflow467 Women perceive things differently, and most women will agree that approaching from the back is creepy. It was the side approach that he was chasing following her. It doesn't look good, seems like he was begging for attention.

The first one is from Poland, they are normally so feminine and giggly when they speak English. In comparison with a lot of women I've experienced they're so much nicer to talk to. Really good sets Todd, keeping it light, fun and totally chill as always. Yes, I live in Poland :)

4 minutes? C'mon, we need at least like 2 hours of this!)) E.g. what if she's sitting in a park and reading the book, what if she's in a train and you don't quite sure how much time do you have, what if she's talking with someone on the phone, what if its dark outside and the whole situation feels kinda creepy, what if she's in a crowd of strangers but alone, what if she's a go-go dancer working in a club, what if she's police oficer arresting you, but you really whish to have a coffee with her after the court... Or more wisdom on things like how to strategically plan the point of your path intersection, how fast to approach if she's in a hurry but not to make this too wierd, how to stop her if her bus/train just arrived but you need at least 10 sec to write down the number, how to engage is she's waiting for someone and it might be her angry boyfriend, what if she's dressed overly sexy or even is a topless girl on a beach and you may appear as a pervert, when and how to back off, whats the optimal "quantity vs quality" strategy, how to organize the contact list in the phone in order not to forget who is who in there... So many questions left unresolwed! We demand andwers!!!))))

i really like your channel todd you're one of my favorites by far when it coms to dating advices! but i would like to point out that most women do not respond to cold approach in a positive way - its at least where i come from, it really depends on the situation and enviroment from my experience, the most practical way to approach a girl is to start noticing something about her - it could be her hair, shoes etc. and give a compliment and then reach for confort and closure. keep up the good content bro!

I like how you keep the initiative. These girls don't even have time to think. You are really fast. But I doubt that most of the men who follow you can do it that quickly. This requires experience. Slowing down my walking has worked well for me. To walk relaxed and leisurely. Then I stand out among people who are all in a hurry. The women notice it and then the ladies offer themselves. Hey Todd, I really love how you’re giving men advice on how to approach women. One bad mistake men can make however is approaching women from behind and touching them. In this #MeToo era that can be bad news. Be aware that everyone who watches these videos is not as polished as you.

The only thing I question here is how solid the numbers are, cold approach numbers are the most flakey and at least in my case I usually have to build a good amount of investment (spend a good few minutes) before I can confident it's a solid number. I think only the Polish girl looked like a solid number

That's an option. In that case you're just turning it into a walking with situation rather than a stopping situation, which has pros and cons.

It seems that thinking about how to approach is sort of overthinking and leads to abstecals now days, however doing the approach whenever you decide to in the right way is where you learn how to approach in the right way.. who agrees?

Todd my approach is very similar to yours, a friend of mine is super direct but he is like a Chad so that wouldnt work for me. Still fine tuning from your technique.

I just look at them and read their situation and body language. By then I've usually made eye contact and gotten reaction.

It really is. I wish most men would look at it from a practical view, it's a waste of time and effort. You could be using that time to building a better future for you where you can later attract women more easily when you have more status and better point in your life. The only exceptions are if you are 18 to 25 with really good looks. Then it may actually be lead to less rejection, less flaking and less ghosting. But still dude has to pay for all first dates and plan them, etc. So yeah, I would only do them if you are really got nothing to do and have money to blow. Which is very unusual

Cold approach can improve your social life immensely in ways you can't even imagine. You'll take more risks, you'll be more assertive, your overall mood will improve drastically etc... Not saying it's the best thing ever. In moderation you'll see good results.

I’m not sure I’m a fan of how Todd was closing the first girl. He kept saying, “yes? yes?” And didn’t give the girl a second to respond. It felt a little pushy to me. Third approach was solid though.
