Would be nice to have names and a little bit about them for a learning experience.

Well I got 20, but all the venomous I knew , I may get bit , but I’m not dying 😂😂😂

On my property in Georgia I’ve seen earth snakes, garter snakes, eastern king snakes, brown snakes(lots of them), and eastern black rat snakes. Have not seen any venomous snakes. I’ve seen water moccasins in Florida though when I lived there. I think in my part of Georgia the most likely venomous snake you’d come across is a copperhead. I’m always very cautious around leaf piles.

I've been trying to attract Garter Snakes to my garden for pest control but I haven't seen any. I made little reptile Happytats for them and so far they've attracted Anoles and some other kind of lizard that showed up last week but no Garter Snakes.

Would have been nice if they had told us which ones were poisonous.

Remember poisonous is something you eat, venomous is something that eats YOU! LOL! Well there are 6 venomous snakes in Georgia (for humans anyway): Pygmy rattlesnake, Copperhead, Cottonmouth, Timber rattlesnake, Eastern diamondback rattlesnake, and Coral snake. All have hemotoxins except for the Coral which has neurotoxic venom. The rest are "harmless," but they will bite if you mess with them. The most ridiculous is the Hognose, which is quite the drama queen. If you see a snake crawling up the side of your home, don't panic, it's probably just a harmless rat snake, working as your volunteer exterminator. Helping to solve that rat problem you didn't even know you had! This was a great quiz video! It was an ID quiz, (the best I've seen yet!) not intended to really provide details about each snake (ie: probably not useful to a beginner who doesn't know anything at all about snakes). Now that you know what they look like the details will make more sense.

If you see a short fat ,stocky looking snake run it's probably a pit viper

I did ok for a person who was terrified of snakes until I decided to learn about them, and even encourage certain ones to seek out my garden as free, Organic pest control. I saw the tail of a snake today but I was too far away, and it moved too quick for me to get a good look, other than it has a long, skinny, dark tail. I'm hoping it hangs around and could possibly be a juvenile Banded Watersnake that I saw as a neonate last year. I actually saw a fair amount of tails quickly slithering out of sight last year.

Likely an eastern black rat snake. They’re quite common and move around during the day. I’ve seen one in my yard recently. I’m hoping it’s going after the moles.

@@crotalusjbc It is near charleston in SC...he found my trail camera on an otter slide and took the card.. I said my name and youtube channel on camera and I got an email from him a few days after it went missing. I recognized the crotalus part of his email address because I'm a herper. He promised to send it back..then ghosted out on me. He has your initials and the unusual word Crotalus...so I figured it was worth a shot...Makes a good story anyway.
