What they fail to say also is you can give your dog Benadryl. I use it for my own ranch dogs. It has not failed me yet. They maybe calm enough to get some sleep and wake up happy and grateful.

Benadryl works best with copperheads from people I have talked to. I would be really concerned about rattlesnake bites. Glad it works for you however 👍

One of my daughter dogs was bitten last summer the first thing I found was vinager and baking soda on it that started drawing the poison out also poured perxoide on it every hour until there was nothing but clean blood comimg from the bite

Copperhead snake is the least of all snakes. Cottonmouths are about 5 times more lethal. A young dad in East texas got bit on hand by Cottonmouth and died quickly.

Only two people have died from the bite of the cottonmouth since the late nineteen sixties . A man in Louisiana and a man in Missouri were bitten and didn't seek medical attention . Crofab antivenin is used when treating all North American pit vipers Copperheads ,Cottonmouths and Rattlesnakes only a .02 percent chance of dying with medical treatment from snake bite in the US.

Most dogs and cats are somewhat immune from snake venom

It depends on where they have been bitten. Most chances are they get bit on the face. That's okay but most other parts of the body l would worry about. I have ranch dogs and benadryl works the best.
