@@Jakeyisdead Because of certain changes inside Marvel. Blade is 100% going to be R-rated. The only way it won't be R-rated is if the ratings board decides that movie passes for a hard PG-13 like they did with The Batman. Since the ratings board have rules where if Blade did to humans what he does to vampires it would automatically be an R. But because they are not human. The ratings board could actually decide that it should be a PG-13. They can do all the violence they want against vampires. And the vampires can do quite a lot of violence against humans. Provided they turn the temperature of the blood to look darker. Hannibal is a good example even though its a tv show. It got away with being on a network tv channel like NBC. And could show grotesque images and was rated as TV-14 not TV MA. They had a ratings person helping them out. Telling them how dark the blood needed to look for them to be able to air it. It is so messed up, you can do all of that violence. But if someone in the Blade movie says the F word in reference to having sex, or uses the F-word twice. It will automatically an R-rating. I would worry more about Blade actually getting made at all at this point. It has been 5 years since it was announced. I could see Ali walking away because he has had to lose out on jobs thinking he was going to shoot Blade on several occasions now. On the one hand I'm glad the movie has delayed because Kevin Feige was stripped of his powers back in 2020 when the new CEO took over. He no longer was able to hold the iron grip of quality control. He was given mandates that they needed to have as many Marvel movies and Disney+ shows out as possible. The mandate Chapek gave killed the possibility of quality control. If the Pandemic had not happened we would have gotten Blade late 2021 early 2022. But as we know they have gone through six writers and are looking for their 3 director. Meaning it likely would have been at best a mediocre movie. It would have been PG-13 because at the time the only movie that was allowed to be rated-r was Deadpool. Now they allowed Echo to be TV-MA, not that it made the show any better. But it is a good thing because it means that Daredevil Born Again which had filmed half the season and scrapped it during the strike because Feige didn't think it was good. And was allowed to start over. They brought back more of the original cast and is allowing the show to do what it did in the Netflix show. This is do or die. Agatha was too far along and not worth doing over if it turns out to be bad. But Deadpool, Daredevil, Captain America 4 all needs to be great. If not people are not going to care about the build up for Avengers 5 and 6.

It's really nice that they have Shawn doing all this press, too. Having two massive movie stars may seem like all you need, but it's great to honor the director.

Totally true! Shawn’s part of this team as much as anyone else is! He directed stuff with Hugh and Ryan separately respectively. The Adam Project is where they really got big for working together and everyone acknowledged it. Free Guy and The Night At The Museum movies are easily goated. Real Steel, This Is Where I Leave You and The Internship are criminally underrated. And he’s also in a taylor swift music video-so I guess he’s self-deprecating and has fun with things and knows about music-The Man Definitely Belongs!

The fact that Ryan sang We are NEVER EVER getting back together! Angrily into Hugh’s face but his favorite song from Taylor is named after his three kids 😭💜

I really wanna see Hugh and Ryan in a buddy cop movie. Hugh is the semi-angry Lieutenant and Ryan is the Sergeant that solves the cases but always gets in a pile of deep trouble. Shawn has gotta direct!

Hugh is an Australian. His favourite swear word will be all of them.
