Raccoons aren't rodents, they are distant relatives of bears actually.

Cute little guys. When my family had this happen we just put a bunch of cacti and marionettes in the hearth and luckily it spooked em right outta there

It's not a good idea, they Harbour paristies and insects detrimental to human health and their feces carries raccoon round work eggs that can be fatal to humans.

They get in your home and scratch and eat at your walls. I don’t advise keeping them around
