You know from the beginning it was meant to be. My husband and I met in May and was Married in August (3months) in 1974 and was married 41 years until the Lord called him home. He was and is my soulmate. Enjoy each other and make great memories.

My husband and I married after dating for 9 months when we were still in the Army. I was a Sgt. and he was a SPC4. So that was fraternization of its finest. We got married while we were still in the military and didn't tell anyone because it was technically illegal lol. We will be celebrating our 12th year wedding anniversary. Love you guys story.

Interesting but very unusual story. Not many people would be successful if they lived apart for 5 years while married. You are very lucky to have found each other and figured a way to make it work and be happy and content with each other.

My husband and I met each other in 2001 lost contact and he found my phone number (thank goodness I had the same number) in March of 2006. We were married in October of 2006 and here we are 17 years later. I convinced him to move to my country in Grenada 🇬🇩 the end of 2023

My husband and I worked together and became friends. He’s 11 years older than me but he had custody of his daughter and I had custody of my son and daughter. It was really hard being a single parent. One day when he came to pick his daughter up from staying the night with us we decided to get married. His ex was going to fight him for custody but with us married it would be much harder for her. Trust me when I say she didn’t need custody. So we got married that weekend…lol!! We’ve been married for 29 years now and you are correct…it takes work!!! I’m happy for you guys!! :)
