How We Learn As We Age | Alan Castel | TEDxACCD
The science that proves that we are all life long learners. Alan Castel is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He studies memory and aging and the degree to which people are aware of their memory ability (a form of metamemory). He is particularly interested in how younger and older adults can selectively remember important information and errorful learning. His work has been featured in the New York Times and Time Magazine. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

I watched this because i was having doubts about being able to learn, no relearn my schooling. I want to return to college but im 26 now. After watching this video i feel much better if not flipped in the opposite direction. The fact that im focused on learning rather then not learning (high school sucked) is a focus shift and potentially more positive.

You want to return to college BUT you're 26? What does age have to do with education? You continue learning at all stages in life. I have seen 80 years old going back to the university and getting PHDs. At 26, your life has just started. Many people start and end chapters in their lives. You are the only owner of your life so regardless of age, go back to school with no excuses!
