How We Fixed Our Garden Hose Water Pressure

A thriving garden relies heavily on proper watering, particularly during dry spells and heat waves. A key factor for success lies in maintaining adequate water pressure to ensure thorough saturation of plants. If your garden is currently experiencing low water pressure, it is prudent to consider incorporating a water pump into your watering system. We have successfully implemented the Trotec TGP 1000 ES garden pump, which has significantly improved our watering sessions, specifically within our vegetable garden.

You're going to burn your pump out long term, you always want a larger inlet diameter to the outlet to prevent the pump from starving. Ideally you want to run a large diameter hardline to the pump.

What you solved for here is EXACTLY what I am trying to solve for. But I don’t understand what you’re doing with the brass nipple things or the hose lock? Basically why do you need more than just the pump? Thank you - I hope I’m as successful as you!!

The reason for all the attachments was for the pump to work with our existing hose pipe related attachments.

How are you storing the pump 1:26? Are you storing it outside or removing it after each use?

We store the pump inside. I run an extension to hook it up, and when we're done, I put it back in the garage.

Heres a scenario I'm trying to conquer. I have a large 300 gallon water tank, one of those white plastic ones filled with water. I want to hook a pump to it to pressurize a 100 foot water hose while having enough pressure to rinse a car. I would power the pump with a remote controlled receptacle like people use for outdoor Christmas lights. The tank is in my backyard and my hose is in my front yard next to the driveway. A fence separates me from the tank which is why the pumps power will need to be turned on with a remote. Since I'm not in the backyard when I turn it on, obviously I cannot prime the pump so I would need a self priming pump. Reason I'm drawing water from the tank instead of my house is because the water has been filtered through reverse osmosis to make spot free water for rinsing my car. What kind of pump would I use to get enough pressure to rinse my car off with a 100 foot hose?
