In theory in tank sb you can also start your VR session on the ground floor, then walk up some stairs to your room and have a big overview of your surroundings. Never tried it though as its a bit of a hassle to set up.

It's possible to put a VR headset on a flor and center it there, then put it up again
It not really cheating, but sure Gaijin could create boundary's so you wont extend to much and see from outside your plane. I use the same little trick too and in a close dogfight i raise myself to see where my shots go in a hard turn

Boundaries would make it uncomfortable due to differences of physical and in-game movements. I hope it stays as it is right now

Ну я этим пользуюсь, но в некоторых пределах естественно. Например, заглядывать за бронеспинку очень удобно, или наклоняться в сторону виража чтобы смотреть сбоку вниз под капот. Но именно вставать и отходить от кресла - это не для игры а, разве что, для записи синематиков, например. Кстати, в Ил-2: Битва за Сталинград (ну т.е. во всей серии от 777) перемещение головы ограничено при закрытом фонаре, и даже при открытом голову нельзя сильно высунуть при высокой скорости полёта. Но такое ограничение вызывает неприятное чувство из-за несоответствия физического и визуального движения.

Будем надеяться что в WT и DCS не введут такие ограничения как в Ил-2

😂😂😂 being able to pop your head through the glass is just as cringe as flying low with a keyboard

If you train your brain until you feel motion sick just make a break and try it next day again. It will go away after time. If you want a light and comfortable headset with good specs go for Bigscreen Beyond
