Great video considering the subject matter. I met a vet several years ago who had a beloved horse. He said he could not put him down because he was too close... he had to call a vet buddy of his to do the job. I have had to put 2 beloved pets down and as a grown man (retired RN) I cried like a baby.

Losing a dog or cat is gut wrenching. I still miss our sheepdog every day who passed almost 4 years ago. I also have pet rats who only live 2-2.5 years and though I’m not a “cryer”, I cry every time I have to put one to sleep. But this is the price we pay to love an animal, and imo it is worth it.
