A question every basketball player has is "how can I get better at basketball?" Now what players often revert to are the common basketball skills, like shooting, passing, dribbling, and defense. But there is one skill that is in your immediate control that will get you better instantly: pace.
After being traded to the Washington Wizards, Jordan Poole hasn't had a great season thus far but he has had some flashes of his potential. When watching his best games and his worst games, the one thing that stands out is his pace. In his bad games, he plays without pace. In his great games, he has pace.
In a matchup of Jordan Poole vs Cam Thomas, Jordan Poole scored his season high 38 points by playing basketball with pace. So in today's video, we breakdown Jordan Poole and how pace in basketball can make you better.

Nice to see Poole get some appreciation despite all the criticism (granted, the criticism is warranted)

He was only actually bad the first two months then he kinda got his rhythm back then he'd go back to being bad but the past two months he's been pretty consistent it's not like he dissappears like he did in the beginning of the season. He recently had two bad shooting nights where he had 18pts and 16pts but he had 12 assists and 13 assists both games which ended with a W he had another game with 38pts and 8 assists he just needs to figure out how to connect scoring with passing then he will be good

3:13 depends on time (for example: if you down 3 with 3 sec left), number of positions left and % of the corner guy. If the guy in the corner shoots over 70% on wide open corner 3s (which is 2.1 points average) it's better to throw it to him. Also you have to get your corners involved in the game 'cause they are really valuable nowadays. P.s. sorry if i spelled something wrong, it isn't my first language.

You hit the nail on the head. Poole has a lot of potential but he overthinks. We didn’t really see this in golden state because curry and the other guys rubbed off on him. He tries to many things sometimes and settle la for threes way too much. He is really quick so he could get as many layups. Poole needs to learn from fox. If his shots don’t go, he goes for an easy lay. Poole has to believe himself and needs to try on defense at least

in this context, i see talented as the capacity of doing something. but skill, it the ability to carry put your capabilities and be effective . i tend to use the words in different contexts at times

Cool, thanks, I think I see; my interpretation would be talent as the player's ceiling, which they may or may not reach on any given game, vs. skill, which is a more dependable, long-term measure. That said, you think JP and CT have more potential than Jalen Brunson or (a healthy) Lamelo Ball?
