I love all this stuff! The craftmanship of all the handmade materials from the buildings, doors, metalwork, woolen items etc.... Ukrainians haven't lost any of the old ways. I grew up in Ireland in the late 70's and 80's, and we cherished handcrafted items and made our own foods and clothes. How most of the West shops in mega malls and all mass produced etc. The children playing at the pool or billabong has they say in Australia. The scene is like American childhood in the 50's!!!!! So lovely and the kids play and swim with care! I love this. Ukraine is the best country in the World I'd love to live and the countryside and farming industry is 2nd to NONE! Lastly I saw no young men anywhere in the video between the ages of 18 to 35. This is scary. The Ukrainian women are amazingly resilient, strong and gifted! I pray this war is over soon so I can come back and find my soul again Taya...... I miss you all. Not been since October 2021..... I visited the Carpathians, Lviv, and Ternopil. Thanks for this lovely video)))))

Hello Taya, nice to see that you are trying to enjoy some parts of what used to me a normal life during this terrible War. I served in the US Army during the Gulf War so I can only imagine the things that are happening in Ukraine every day. I say this because you are my people. My grandparents came from a small village near Uzhgorod in the Carpathian Oblast, and she came to the USA when she was 10 years old in 1922. I believe that at that time the region was part of Slovakia and later after 1945 became Ukraine. I believe that I probably still have family there. I know that after WWII my mother as a small child used to go with her grandmother to post care packages through the Red Cross to Uzgorod but then the Cold War came, and my Great Grandmother died in 1952 long before I was born. She was the only person that used to be able to write in their Native language. Its sad but it often happened that when people emigrated to the USA they kept some of their traditions but were eager to adopt the language and customs of their new homeland and lost the ability to read and write in the old script and when the older people died contact with family in the "Old Country" was lost. My grandmother left school at age 14 only four year after coming to America and went to work as a nanny and then married and raised her own family. She never really went to school in Ukraine or Slovakia and learned to write properly. So as it happens members of our family lost contact with all the relatives in Ukraine. its been Ukraine now for over 75 years so I think it will be that way far into the future. I have many memories of my grandmother describing living in the village as a girl with all the animals she cared for, the river, the fields and the thatched roofs that were common to that region as well as the artwork on the buildings. Your video helps to paint a picture of what it looks like so thank you! I am 60 years old now (born in 1963) and was stationed in Germany during my Army Service and travelled all over Western Europe but never had a chance to come to Ukraine. Now that I am older and almost ready to retire, I would like to visit someday. What part of the country are you from?

However, it's hardly seen that there are both of the two things, peace and war are constantly found in the same land. Literally, how strange it is!

Reminds me of my grandparents place. The chickens running around, the garden, and going to the limestone rock quarry to cool off. It's beautiful there, enjoy it, and enjoyed seeing it.

Shalom Aleichem, TAYA. Good and RIGHT land when opening NEW AGRICULTURAL LAND in UKRAINE, especially on the RIVER BANKS *is mineral and FERTILIZED soil"* , my greetings to the people of your village have a GOOD MANAGED VILLAGE and every HOUSE has a FENCE this indicates that the VILLAGE is still far from noise CITY. But what is IMPORTANT is that there are POLICE OFFICERS who are MORE than honest enough to protect their village from CRIMINAL, because the Village is good for AGRICULTURAL LAND or PLANTATION. AMAZING, TAYA. Lots of UKRAINE people are still GRATEFUL for being given time to continue healthy activities to travel in their own country when the country is in a state of war. GOD Blessing You All, in UKRAINA Country. 🙏
