The progress of Turkish defence industry in the past decade is quite astonishing and is one that left all its foes and friend mouth wide agape in equal measures needless to mention its growth in both soft and hard power too,especially in middle east and Africa. Turkey has successfully presented itself as an afroasian country,with its airline flying to 60 African city,second after Ethiopian airline and first in cargo services in Africa. Turkey also has military deals with several African countries like Libya,somalia and recently Niger. Turkish government prowess in foreign policy advancement is at its climax and that has pitted her against her western alliance, especially France which always saw Africa as its cash cow. Turkey's involvement in Africa is one that come in a multifaceted manner,ranging from education, heath,construction, diplomacy, military deals and trade. Disequilibrium in world power polarity notwithstanding, I hold the considered opinion that Turkey has cut itself a niche in international system under the stewardship of current president Taib Rajab erdogan.respect from Kenya 🇰🇪East africa

@PANDEMIC BY CCP AND XITLER times change - i think Russian influence could be easier to surpass but China because of its size, history, and economy (espiecilly because of silk road) would be challenging because they would be able to invest in this region far more than Turkey could and also see these countries as clients for many of their military systems. Turkey and the whole Turkic world would be able to build every single military system and would be a huge hit to potential Chinese markets. but there is talk of a Turkic Union of some type and if this hapened military cooperation would be withinits frsme work and if it happened sooner than later thismay be a pre curser.

As a Turk studying computer engineering, I must say that brain drain is very high in the field of IT in our country, but it is actually a low number because there are too many students.and the defense industry is like the highest rank for these students. I really want to do internship there but hundreds of thousands of students like me. There are many people who want to work for their country and do not leave this beautiful country, and a national consciousness is formed.Although the economy is bad, if we do not support ourselves in difficult times and leave the country in the hands of the ignorant, we will accept being slaves. The land where my parents lived is sacred to me and that's why everyone is trying to do their best in this regard. Aside from the defense industry, many online or face-to-face organizations were opened by the government, where students can get extra coding and robotics training.

2023 is the most critical date for Turkish military as they are preparing to complete and get some of the strategic platforms into their inventory such as Altay battle tank, MIUS (unmanned fighter jet), Hurjet(light fighter jet/educational purpose), anti aircraft weapon systems, DIHA(various unmanned sea platforms), Anadolu TCG (unmanned aircraft carrier), Gokbey helicopter, last but not least, roll out for indigenous 5th generation fighter jet (MMU).

Whether you like AKP or not you have to agree that without them the turkish defense industry would not be in the place they are now. With parties such as CHP this development would have been impossible as they are also known for shutting down early attempts at building domestic fighting aircrafts (such as the incident in Kayseri where the prototypes are still buried somewhere) for lobbying money and possibly corruption in which they US proposed stopping the development and instead offered to sell their jets for cheaper prices. Where the AKP really shines is Defence and Military (except for the Gulen incident). Their biggest failure is brain drain. Edit :

Maybe you are sacastik.. But he was a very good one, but people are idiots and could not see it. He is not a good talker, but everything he did was good. For example, he made the law, that all the gold produced in Turkey has to but up from the central bank to the marked price. As energy minister he bought the Ships to drill after gas, because he knew we could not rent it, because western countries will make problems. Now we have 4 drilling ships and 2 ships for gas examination. Until now we found 535 billion m³ gas, wich can supply Turkey hole gas need for more then 10 years. @@drbendover7467 don't worry, there is plenty of money to spend for Turkish defense industry workers, as the products they produce save the Turkish state so much money that it used to pay to nato allies. A Reaper drone costs $ 100M, a TB2 only costs $ 10M. That leaves us with $ 90M per drone produced to pay to our workers. Not even speaking about the maintenance and weaponry for those drones.

We've been dealing with biggest traitors of all time that took power on our country for 80 years, stopped every kind of development and made our state a perfect sattelite of Americans, after fall of the Ottoman Empire. But that dark age is ending, as we gain strength we will defend every Muslim and every Turk in the world. Secondly naive people like you who thinks this is a game or some kind of contest is why we are in this state. Iran is run by a regime which hangs people so much using cranes that outside crane companies are embarrassed seeing their machines in these scenes. Their economy and living conditions for innocent people is horrible because a regime who keeps saying they want to destroy another country wants nuclear weapons.
