    Should I think of slide-slipping in the same way as chromatic passing tones? Tks!

    In house music they assign a key or pad a full chord. Then just play it up and down in semi tones. Now I know it's called sideslipping :DDD

  • @jazztutorial

    @jazztutorial

    Exactly! Yes, you'll hear 'side-slipping' in other genres too. I've heard house tracks which transpose a major chord around, e.g. C maj - Ab maj - D maj - E maj - C# maj. It's an interesting sound to use.

    These videos are really awesome and above what i used to see on youtube. What a shame on the other hand that there is no translation of the subtitles of the youtube tool ... Really shame because it is the only weak point of your channel (not being English speaking) and the only aspect which complicates your videos while you do everything to popularize the practice of jazz ..... You deprive yourself of a lot of views in passing I think. Frustrating to have so much musical material on hand and to add to the difficulty of learning, the difficulty of having to translate everything in your head and to pause every 10 seconds. Please put the translation of the subtitles, you will optimize the educational transmission and make more views..
