First poem I’ve ever written 👉👈 _“Shadows chase her_ _Her beauty unhazed_ _Does dark retract_ _When she lets the sun beam her rays?_ _Or does she follow_ _behind trees, clouds and lamps_ _Hiding in the hollow_ _Waiting for the day_ _The day the sun rewinds_ _The moment she goes no further_ _When she smiles at the darkness_ _And no longer tries to disperse her”_ It’s about hope and unrequited love in the personification of the sun and the shadows.

This is my first poem and my english is not as good as be able to write, because I speak English as a foreign language. This is it : I used to be a thing Now I'm just a remain I pretended being an ocean And denied the little stain I hated being that man I wish I didn't complain I thought my soul was worthless So I threw it in the drain My life had past so fast Faster than a train I would to start over And have a chance again Unhappily life is not a tree And I am not a grain I call it a letter from a dead man. Tell me what do you think about it '

*I wrote this poem after watching this video!* In between the unpredictions, a meeting unfolds, Refills fragrance to the garden of life. Unscripted, unplanned, yet perfectly timed, Drives life to a graceful ride. Enters our orbit like a shooting star Leaving the trail that brightens our path Like a firefly they give hope in the dark Leaving an undelible mark The stars illumiante the sky But these fireflies ornament our life on earth. The kaleidoscope of moments with colors so bright They paint our life with hues of delight.

I went into this video expecting a really tedious step-by-step process that would generalise the art of writing poems, but finished it completely agreeing with everything you said- The advice you give really hones in with what I think poetry should be about: emotion. Telling people to write poetry within their comfort and leasure is how the best poetry is created, because it directly leads to genuine poetry, in which genuine emotions are established and communicated. When I write poetry, I make myself go through a really specific structure of finding out how the poem will be formatted, how many syllables per line, whether it's iambic (although, I never stick with that idea-) and how I can subvert it to create meaning. However, this is *always* after I have an idea that makes me want to write. I think that over anything, the emotion that goes into poetry is far more important than the quanity or images or language it has, for emotions in poetry (or any artistic form) eatablish quality. Personally, I think your poetry guide really promotes this idea about people's interests being put over the idea that 'good' and 'bad' poetry exists, which encourages everyone to be included within writing poetry. Whether it is something that a child wrote in ten minutes or Percy Shelly's 'Ozymandias,' they cannot be compared due to how human emotions are the priority of poetry. That's why I love this guide- it doesnt make people feel like there is one way to learn poetry or forges them into sonnets or odes, it simply encourages them to *do* poetry. That is what poetry is all about, after all.

He talked about how he misses my smile and laugh. He then stopped writing and came home in a wooden box. He and I won’t have our future family together and house. Sometimes I challenge myself to write when I’m not in the mood to write. For example, maybe I would try to write a poem about not being in the mood to write poetry lol or a poem about silence, blank space, etc. doesn’t have to be a poem or song though, it can just be a journal entry and doing that sometimes helps.

1st poem In the light of the shining moon, You sought a rose too soon, . ... ..... Leaving the moon that glows, I sprint into the darkened woods, Discover a radiant rose, Return to you, with blood upon my hand, I find the moon is hiding, at your command, The wind inquired, "Why is there blood upon your hand?" I replied softly, "Pain in love, thorns in the Rose, I understand." The aura of your presence Vanishes from this space, Can you also fade from the heart? I plead for grace. ...... In the end, the moon emerged laughing, I shouted, "Cease it!" ...... ...... ...... Then I questioned, The reason for your laughter and glee, Moon replied, "And where is the person you used to compare with me?" ..... ... .

BEST POEM IN THE WORLD -------------------------------------------- In the realm of words, where verses dance, I shall endeavor to take a chance, To craft a poem, a masterpiece divine, A tapestry of words, where meanings intertwine. Behold, the canvas, blank and pure, Where dreams and musings shall endure, With ink as my brush, and thoughts as my ink, I shall paint a portrait that makes hearts sink. I'll weave a tale of love's sweet embrace, Of whispered promises and tender grace, Where souls entwine in eternal flame, Bound by the echoes of a lover's name. I'll wander through nature, the poet's muse, Where melodies of birdsong softly infuse, The rustling leaves and babbling streams, A symphony of life, where beauty gleams. I'll venture to realms of sorrow and pain, Where tears fall freely like droplets of rain, To paint the resilience of the human soul, Amidst adversity, it finds its role. I'll soar through the cosmos, to stars untold, Where mysteries lie, waiting to unfold, In celestial tapestries, a story untamed, Of wonder and awe, forever unnamed. I'll delve into history's intricate lore, Unearth forgotten tales, forevermore, From ancient civilizations, rise and fall, Legends and heroes, captivating all. I'll celebrate laughter, joy, and delight, The moments that make our spirits take flight, In the tender embrace of friendship's embrace, In shared laughter, we find solace and grace. And as I conclude this grand design, This poem, the best in the world, I opine, I offer it humbly, with love and with art, A piece of my soul, a gift from the heart. For poetry knows no bounds or borders, It connects us all, believers and non-believers, So cherish its power, let your spirit unfurl, In the beauty and wonder of the best poem in the world. Writer Ryan K Pendley

I was kinda sad today so I just wrote a poem about loneliness lol I wish to be alone and enjoy things one day, But then realise how lonely I get the other day. I wish to express my feelings with someone I can trust, But I have to search for that someone with whom I can trust. These thoughts keep me awake at night, Forcing me to deal with the overthinking and anxiety tonight. I wish I had someone whom I could rely on, But then I think to myself, "is this how I will be moving on?"

I too, write about sadness when I'm sad, and loneliness, when I'm feeling lonely! I try not to write poetry for the sake of writing it! I prefer to feel it , then write down my feelings! I love this video! This is my first poem (It's a really specific topic) When I told you I didn't place at the competition, you laughed and said it was okay. That it didn't matter too much. Obviously you laughed...I was laughing too. I was laughing not because it was funny, but because I could not allow myself to cry. My thoughts were running around with needles, and I knew that if a tear slipped, the waterfall would never end. One breath in, one breath out. Words created a blockage in my throat. Two breaths in, two breaths out. I gulped on my saliva to repress the words. It wasn't even the stupid competition. Twice before I didn't place, so what does that mean? Am I not improving? Am I not growing? Am I stuck in the same, lost place I was two years ago? I keep trying to blame everything and everyone. Maybe my judge was biased. Maybe my partner screwed up. Maybe the entire competition was just rigged. I guess I'll never know. I'm done with this rat race. Let others fight till the end for a title of a string of letters. I'm paving my own path. Can someone please give me tips?

They make poetry come to life, if you know what I mean, but I don’t use them in all of my poems, as proof they can still be written without!

Poem or Notebooks never worked for me. I like to use poetizer or google docs to write on. I agree, yes rhymezone is great resource, as well as synonymns. You had a great note on rhymes, near rhymes are much more enjoyable to read than exact rhymes which can feel forced. I totally get the whole not knowing what something means. The poem is kind of a way to understand how you're feeling, but also a poem is not a puzzle.

So in my English class, we get to choose something to improve ourselves, something that shows progress. I decided to start writing poetry, this was one of my first poems and I would love to know how you think I can improve. Of course kind words are always appreciated, but I would love to know how I can diversify my poem structures and word usages! Thank you for taking the time to read this, here is my poem: ------------------------------------------------------ I bled out in the palm of your hand Something so visceral that I couldn't comprehend The merciful way you love, it's lust and the disillusion of this relation, it rusts Like a folk forsaken prophecy Like the past prerequisites were lost on me Watch my feelings ebb and flow onto your hand and onto the floor

Dreaming It's funny how much your life is filled with such a beautiful word, with so many meanings, and you most of the time don't even realize. Dreaming while you sleep. Daydreaming. Dreaming. Wishing for something to happen. Things you do daily. But after I met you.. It's like every way the word dreaming can be used, it was about you. My dreams where flooded by you. Daydreaming of what it would be like if you and I where a thing. Dreaming. Wishing you'd like me like I like you. But they where just dreams. Sometimes, dreams can be a good things. magical. But sometimes it can leave you shattered. (I watched a video that said make a story with one word and the word was dream. This is my first poem 😁, and I'm considering making more and not even two days later I found out you made a video on poetry! So thank you for this amazing video 😁. So I wrote a poem last night, inspired by (and co written by) my friend, about struggling mentally, depression and recovery (of several things). This is it. *The Swing Set* Every year, winter comes and all the plants die, but their roots stay in the ground and they grow back in the spring. There will always be a winter, but that means spring will always be coming. You just need to make it through the winter so your plants can grow again. Some years, permafrost infects the ground, only thawing a couple times and then freezing back up again. But the grass always grows back again even if it takes longer. Sometimes, it feels like the grass won’t grow. And it doesn’t for a long time. But it does eventually. No matter how long it takes, it always grows back. And while you’re waiting, you can put down some wood chips and set up a swing set to help cope without the presence of the grass. “I don’t have the materials or tools to build the swing set. There aren’t any stores I know of close by.” I have a few pieces you can have, the swing might be rickety or kinda rusty but it’ll be a swing. Or, you could borrow mine for a bit it’s kinda messed up, but it swings sometimes. “I don’t wanna take away from your swing set though.” I can manage for a while i’m quite good at being without a swing because mine falls apart a lot because I don’t know much about building swing sets. Though my swing is rusted, and it’s ropes frayed, a knotted on a good day where it’s not falling from the tree as a result of a squirrel chewing the rope, or maybe shoddy craftsmanship, I will let you have a go and swing as high as you can, and if the rope breaks, I’ll catch you and simply put it back together again.

SUNSET ---------- Upon the vast and endless sky, A canvas broad, a palette high, Emerges an artist unseen, benign, Painting a spectacle truly divine. The color of a ripened fruit, Orangest sunset in pursuit, Bathing the world in tangerine glow, A radiant spectacle, a perfect show. The sun, a fiery orb, descends, As light and darkness blend and blend, Casting hues of marmalade, Across the sky, a spectacle made. Reflections dance on tranquil sea, Mirroring the sky's decree, Of pumpkin hues and apricot glow, In the gentle waves, they ebb and flow. The clouds, like cotton, kissed by flame, In the orangest light, they stake their claim, Their edges glow, in the twilight’s hold, In shades of amber, and marigold. The trees stand tall, their shadows cast, In the orange light, a contrast vast, Silhouettes against the flaming sky, As the sun prepares its gentle goodbye. A symphony of color, a visual song, A moment fleeting, it won't last long, Yet in that instance, time seems still, In the orangest sunset, we find our fill. A spectacle of nature, a radiant sight, A testament to the day's last light, The orangest sunset, a memory made, Under its glow, our worries fade. So here we stand, beneath the sky, Watching as the day waves goodbye, Bathed in the orangest light, so bright, A farewell kiss, to the departing light. WRITER RYAN K PENDLEY

My first love poem (written this at 4am and used tools to make it better..) Relationship is like a rollercoaster, the thrill grows calm. I wonder why we seek more when the charm is gone. Do the tracks become milder, made for children's delight? Lost in thought, I yearned for the old days, wild and bright. Amidst the twists and turns, I looked around to see, The tracks remained the same, a familiar journey for me. Then it struck me, the wildest rides I've known, Are the ones I'm on now, not too wild, not too prone. Nestled in my seat, hand and handle, gently entwined, I find comfort and security, a love that feels kind. No need for extremes, this ride feels just right, Safe and content, as we hold each other tight. I slowly opened my mouth and said, I love this ride.

My poem- I sat down and wondered, Wandered about Sun and stars. Behold the beauty of misty landscapes. And admire you from afar. You looked like a dream, a mesmerizing one. You Remind me of calmness of an ethereal evening sun.. Your amile reminds of sky, a sky in lighter shade. I love you so much and now im no longer afraid. I was afraid of unknowns, afraid of heartbreaks. But if its about my heart now no longer aches.. in your eyes, i find peace, a gentle embrace A love so pure,l that it transcends time and space. Your eyes, like galaxies, mysterious and deep. Captivating you in my eyes, i always go to sleep. With hope that my love goves you strength, i end my lines. May these cool breeze carry my love to you, so does these warm sunshines. I wrote this poem for my first love...❤😅

I had a question are these considered as poetry ie If i dont laugh i will cry -Frawley If i were to kiss you and go to hell , i would , so that i can brag to the devils i saw heaven without ever entering - William Shakespeare I wished for long the love lasted , but the lover left - Mehmood darwish All roads lead to you, even those i took to forget you - Mehmood darwish So much of what we learn about love is taught by people who never really loved us - R.H sin Do you love her to death they asked Speak of her over my grave and watch how she brings me back to life

Once we were like two peas in a pod. Her voice, an enchanting Nightingale's song, Compelled me to nod. Her laughter and cheerful, vivid memory were so strong, They eroded life's pains and discord. But in a moment, everything was gone, And I'm still waiting like a moron. Without you, nothing feels like home. The joyfulness from her presence has gone. But I'm still waiting like a moron

Hi, this is my very first attempt at writing something !! I wanted to give it to my boyfriend as a gift for his birthday. He likes writing poetry a lot and has written many for me and others. I wanna write one for him this time. I feel very lost because I'm more familiar with drawing. May my tears ever be wiped away With your fingers and your kisses May my arms ever be a sanctuary For all your sorrows and your blisses May my hand ever be held by yours Just like when we're at the altar May my legs ever lead to you Wherever you are and never falter May my lips ever be pressed against yours As they were meant to be from the start May I bleed dry of all the love, for you And never feel love again for another.

Wow!! I love this beautiful and romantic poem! I'm sure your boyfriend will as well! As a finishing touch when you print this out as a hard copy, why not add some little illustrations around the border? Regards David 🦖

Ah poetry, its like a fountain in my soul. Now I am beginning, where would this go? Would it go to my past, where love faded painful and fast? Would it turn to the trees, where peace showers with the music of leaves? It might turn out lacking and little in depth, and so I must be aware that it's just one attempt, to capture beauty in a spontaneous way, to feel an essence like a soft bed of hay, the horses like hay, and so do the flies, that's why I'm ending this poem and it should sound like it rhymes.
