Anyone remember the middle grade paperback mysteries based on the game Clue? Those were my jam in the 90s and made me a lifelong mystery lover. Thanks for the great video as always Jane.

Wonderful ideas! I used to love reading mysteries from the school library when I was a child. I don't feel there are enough of these simple yet fun mysteries. :)

Would you be interested in doing a video on missing people mysteries specifically? I'm sure it'd be pretty similar but there might be a few key differences.

Thank you for yet another great video! The Harry Potter books are actually whodunnits with Harry Potter and his friends being amateur sleuths. It would be great to see you analyze one of these books. :)

It reminds me of a child mystery series I used to read and watch animated show in my childhood. Pandab Goenda. It in bengali and I am unware if it has an English translation or not but Sasthipada Chattopadhyay made our childhood a memorable one. Everyone from bengal can resonant with me I am sure.

Hello Jane! Happy to get a new video! 😊 I'm gonna have to strongly disagree about your assessment that Middle Grade Books can't tackle "real" crimes. Both Lemony Snicket's All The Wrong Questions novels and Robin Stevens' Wells and Wong Détectives Agency series have their kid sleuths tackling serious crimes. The latter in fact features almost exclusively murders at the center of their stories. The video was still a lot of fun, though. 🙂 Keep it up!

So helpful! I loved seeing the murder spreadsheet. I always wondered how you keep it all together.
