I have been working from home since 2012. I do have a dedicated office. My only distraction is my goldendoodle who lately is letting me know she needs and wants more attention! LOL!

I agree with all points, but especially keeping a schedule. It’s so tempting to “slack off” when you’re not adhering to a schedule. When keeping a schedule you set yourself up for success rather than failure.

This is info I need to know! I’ve been mostly working from home for a year now, but I still don’t feel like I’ve gotten the hang of it, even though I have a good home office space, no kids, and no distractions.

Also want to say that I was shopping at Tuesday Morning last week and kept thinking: “I REALLY wish Nikki was here! I have NO IDEA what will look good with what!” 🤣

Nikki - you are SO right about getting more exercise when we're at the workplace. I didn't realize how much exercise I got as I traveled between conference rooms for meetings on various floors throughout the day as well as taking those quick breaks to get a drink of water or visit the restroom. All of those steps added up everyday...until they didn't. I was suddenly stuck at home in the same place ALL DAY LONG. I finally had to change my work at home routine for my own sanity (i.e., walking around my home while in meetings, moving my mobile office from here to there and back, etc.). Working from home sounds great but it sure required some adjustments. Love your videos as always. TFS 🙂

Thanks for sharing your helpful tips Nikki. As a newbie to working from home, I feared that I may turn into a hermit with no interaction with others. I love the idea of getting outside for breaks and taking a drive to Starbucks for my coffee as that was my morning routine on my way to the office. I think I will take my fur babies along for the drive too - something different.

I was just talking about this with another co-worker. Setting limits starting and stopping at the same time and keeping a schedule. Also having healthy snacks is so important. Thanks for the videos.

Love these tips Nikki. My biggest distraction has been the dog, so I take breaks to play with her, to keep a routine going. Great content as always. Stay safe and blessed.

Good morning, Nikki. Great tips. Getting outside and obsorbing some Vitamin D is super important. Wherever you have to work, having some place besides the kitchen table or a desk in your bedroom is important. Doesn't have to be big, just has to be yours. A small table and a Raskog cart to keep your supplies at hand. Thanks for always sharing great tips. Creative Blessings!

Forgot to say, I love your latest book. Lots of great info. Looks so nice on my desk. I keep my printer in a place where I have to get up and get my copies. Just a little form of extra exercise.

I don’t have a home office.I M literally working from my dining table and sometimes my bedroom. I sometimes get dressed and sometimes not. My issue is I get easily distracte. I watch movies, eat, clean, you name it lol.

Seeing faces cannot be under emphasized and I think my coworkers (we are all techie types) aren’t realizing their need of being around others. It’s the only explanation I can find for why a Teams project meeting call requires 30 people when the same type of in-person project meeting needed 10 at most. People are afraid of missing information they would have found out through “hallway” talk and they like the sound of voices in the background. Of those 30 people only 4 -5 are participating and the rest will say “Ahh repeat that” if you address them - they were multitasking aka not paying attention at all or as I said just enjoying listening to others talk.
