How to Wire a Relay for Light Bars & Other ATV, SXS, or Automotive Accessories

In this how-to video, I demonstrate how to wire a relay correctly every time. Relays have four pins with specific numbers that reference their functions. The 30 pin goes to your power source or battery. The 85 pin is the ground-remember it with a fun reference to "Back to the Future." The 86 pin is your switched source, and the 87 pin, the highest number, is where you connect your accessory. Follow along to learn the correct wiring of a relay step by step.
Learn how to wire a relay correctly every time with this easy-to-follow guide! In this video, I break down the four pins on a relay and explain what each number references:
30 pin: Connects to your power source or battery.
85 pin: This is the ground. Remember it with the "Back to the Future" reference-getting back to 1985!
86 pin: This is your switched source.
87 pin: Connect your accessory here, as it’s where you want the power to go.
Watch now to master relay wiring with these simple steps!

We had a King Quad, I really miss the dry storage can on the front fender. Relays are great for these types of projects.
