    5:20 from my experience modern cables dont need lubricating. it just makes them stick. i lubed mine once and the clutch became really hard to pull in, so i had to spend ages trying to flush degreaser all through it. i think they are like teflon coated or something so dont need lube. maybe the previous owner of my bike upgraded to teflon cables and its not the norm? i dont know. i had never experienced this on older bikes/ push bikes etc. oiling them had always helped. but oiling this cable totally fked it.

    After you put oil in the cylinder via the spark plug hole, do you have to remove it somehow when you want to ride? Also does fuel stabilizer work with 2 stroke oil and gas premix?

  • @rmatvmc

    @rmatvmc

    6 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for the questions. No you will not need to remove the teaspoon of motor oil come the next riding season. A teaspoon amount is not that much. However, keep in mind you will want to change out the spark plug after you run it a few times. - Fuel stabilizer works for all 2-cycle and 4-cycle gasoline engines. Cheers *Lucas Bercaw*

    Why would you leave gas in the tank, even with stabil?? The gas will be crap when the season comes around, you'll want to run fresh gas. just no point..btw stabil only claims to help fuel for 6 months.

    Taylor Anderson definitely better but it still goes bad and you won't want to run it after it sits all winter. Just don't know why they don't recommend draining the tank? They are not old school steel tanks when you had to worry about it rusting.

    If you're still riding your bike regularly there's no need to winterize it. But if you plan on letting it sit in the garage for a while in colder temperatures, then winterizing it is a good idea.

    No, if you got a lot in there, you're probably going to need to check and clean the oil off of your spark plug. If it's soaked in oil, leave the plug out, ground your spark plug cap, put a rag over the hole and crank the engine 5-10 seconds to pump some of the oil out (the rag will fly off if you don't hold it there). Reinstall your spark plug (might be better to use a new one) and try again. -Charles

    Yep, if you want to keep the aftermarket fluids shop in business then go for it. Otherwise just kick it over every couple of weeks. The dirt will settle in to the air filter more by leaving it? Seriously, that's some car sales speak right there.

  • @samueltheriault4158

    @samueltheriault4158

    I think you should fill it back up to the brim and use stabilizer, that way you don't have condensation in your tank and your fuel will be all good. If it stays for a while and you don't put stabilizer in, you might just clog up your carburator and all. So pjt stabilizer in, and run the engine for a good 5 min to get it every where in the bike.
