I've seen this match live myself personally, and jumped in shock when I saw AE won that match. Looking back, That was not any tactical masterclass from AE - It was just a well executed textbook play: To fight on a position where you are most comfortable playing with, and not allow the opposing teams the status quo. Side note though and, spoilers warning: This PMGC was still full of surprises to me. For one, I've never expected three PEL teams to fall below in the final rankings considering the kind of caliber they possessed. Second, I've never expected DRS to finish top two. And third, S2G's overall performance were a pure masterclass - despite some minor setbacks. All around a great tournament, but man ...the audience reaction at match 18th though 😬. I feel that if the high ground they used had actually been in zone then yes it was textbook, but its position would have made other teams automatically ignore it for a lesser position in zone. I'm in agreement with you! It was such a surprising finals, I feel rlly bad for VPE having such a rough time and then winning 3/6 games D3. But S2G bringing it home for the west was such a joy to watch, loved it!

They really had the patience cos your normal instinct would be get to zone and secure a spot
