Here are my tips and tricks for how to win NaNoWriMo in 2021! I've participated in NaNoWriMo for the last ten years so for this year's Preptober I want to share my tips for the best ever NaNo writing experience. This video is partly a writing pep talk and partly actual tricks I have learned over the years that have helped me write fifty thousand words in a month. Writing a whole novel in 30 days is a big challenge but hopefully some of these tips will help you along the way to winning national novel writing month this year.

I’ll be working on revisions this time around. Only thing I can think of that helped me was dedicating a time to write. I work full time so my first time doing nano I scheduled an hour a day from 6pm-7pm to write and it’s a habit I kept up throughout the years. I may write more throughout the day, but for sure at 6pm I’m sitting down to work on my book. Edit: 😂 I answered this before I watched the complete video and see you covered this
I’m kicking butt this year at Nano, and I’m looking forward to where the rest of the month takes me.

Great video! John Waters swears by his "Writing Sweater". Everybody uses rituals to help get them into a writing mood and mode. I like to use candles, Beethoven/Mozart, and an obsolete computer from the 80s or 90s (no distractions).
