we're slowly getting up there, it's just hard with so many kids my parents had, haha! Them paying for my college was completely out of the question so step 1 was a full ride so I could help them out once I graduated. Loans wouldn't let me.

Not an immigrant but came from a low income family and was the first one to go to college. I'm the oldest of 5 siblings and have tried to lead by example by learning, earning, and managing my money better than everyone in my family. I'm debt free now and have a $500k house at 31. I say all that to say, you CAN DO IT. College was just school. My education came from books that I found and studied. Keep going and don't give up!

@@JustaRandomDude For sure! Another thing I'm really grateful for is that they way they raised me- I have no use for materialistic things like brand clothing, flashy cars, lavish vacations: I have a full ride to one of the top art schools in Los Angeles and have several jobs for basic necessities with plenty money left. I could spend that money, but I'm happy with a camping trip or a movie ticket being my 'luxury' spending. The way my career is going I'll be fully able to work in visual development for video game, animation and live action industries like DreamWorks and Blizzard here in L.A-- ambitious as I was I would have NEVER had these opportunities without my parent's sacrifices. My success is theirs as much as mine ❤️ my goal is to help them succeed too- my mother wants a masters degree and my dad his own business. Hope I can return their help soon.

I have never heard of very emotionalism story like Dan's story. It can hit me in some way because i feel like I'm in the same situation where I'm facing different challenges in my life and I'm fighting everyday to keep myself feeling grateful for what i have accomplished so far and to look up for more. So I can be able to establish new rules and ideas for those aren't knowing the best way to succeed because nowadays no one would approach you and give you hint on how to do things you have to teach yourself on how you should operate it and make it work the way you wanted.

It's truly a moving video, people can get carried away with their success so much that they forget to put other people before it and when the person that cared about them is gone they realize that they've made wrong decisions... But there's no point in realizing your decisions after things like that because its too late.
