Sometimes you can meet that wireless network works not clearly correct in your laptop - it can be randomly disconnecting or causing hanging of laptop. Often this issue can be explained with wrong installed drivers or OS problems etc. But sometimes it caused by defective WiFi card. And in this case you need to replace it. WiFi adapter can be replaced with any other else with same form, size and number of antennas. The only thing you must know is that for example some Lenovo laptops works just with WLAN modules that were produced for Lenovo laptops. Hi. Good tutorial. I'm having this issue for the past 1-2 years: Constantly losing my wifi connectiong. When so, I have to enable/disable airplane mode to speed up the process. The K556U is a different design all together, and is a nightmare to open & replace items. Have a look at that one. The HDD seems to be attached to the motherboard itself.
Thank you for this video. Would I be able to replace the wifi card with a newer one that has 5ghz and not just 2.4? If so, what would you recommend for this laptop?

Look for QCA 9377 boards. At least, they work much better for me. They won't allow bluetooth 5.0 but i finally had 5Ghz wifi support

@@morenon07133T oh ok, thank you for this info. My laptop never had Bluetooth to begin with so I have a USB Bluetooth adapter for those times that I need Bluetooth. I'll check out that board you mentioned and hopefully it'll work out. Thanks!!😃

@@canucha1985 I mean, those cards have bluetooth 4.1 or 4.2 too, I do not remember the version. As peak download speed I had something around 30 MB/s on wifi 802.11AC and much stronger signal on average.

@@morenon07133T ahh, gotcha. That'll work. I think at this point anything is better than the factory one on my laptop. I already replaced the HD with a SSD, increased the ram as well and now it loads almost instantly until I get to the internet and then it's so slow to browse and worse to download stuff. So as long as I can see some improvement I'll be happy.

I mean, I know case where changed hdd to ssd and warranty was saved. But sometimes warranty was canceled and I dont know why sometimes it's - ok, and sometimes it's canceled.
