I used 2 amps 12volts transformer... But on my experience, computer power supply is much better because if you use computer power supply is much heavy duty. I recommend you sir that its much better if you use computer power supply.. I have 1 video also that i use computer power supply for homemade plastic welder sir. Thank you so much sir.

This is great! Im about to start to making one right now as I have nothing to do, is raining and I have all the parts needed :D Just one question... I one of those variable voltage laptop power units that goes from 12V-4.5amp to 24V-4amp, does the amp difference matters ? Im asking because you used 12V 1amp power supply. Im not really familiar with this kind of electrical measurements. im gonna use it for the same purpose shown in this video, occasional plastic parts welding as complementary to my soldering iron and heat gun. Thanks in advance :D

You can used that kind of laptop charger also sir because i already tried to used that but some of laptop charger has a built-in safety that if you short circuit it will automatically shut down the power supply thats why its much better to use computer power supply. Just extend the wire of the 12volts out (black and yellow wire) I have other video how to make plastic welding using computer power supply also.. Thank you so much sir. can this buton carry the current? If would be 220V the current lower don but if you use adapter near 9vdc the current should rise. Means that, in the same work rising the oltage lowers the current

The button switch that i used can carry the 12volts 2 amps adaptor sir but it gets hot that why on my other video when i use computer power supply gor a 12volts source. I use much bigger witch that can carry the higher voltage and ampere because computer power supply is much better to the adaptor that i use on that video. Thank you so much sir. If you used copper wire it will just melt if it it very small. Much better if you used high ampere power supply so you can used thicker wire. You can use computer power supply sir like what i used on my other video

On this video, I'm using nichrome. The nichrome wire is much better for hearing. You can also use an ordinary wire if you use higher amps power supply. I use an ordinary switch. You can use computer power supply for your 12volts source.

Nice idea, thin plastic and bonding plastic surface using this can perform well. However for deeper penetration/melting is not so practical, it will pull out melted plastic together if we push too hard into plastic. For thicker plastic, we need to melt deep into it so that the joint between the broken parts will bond together.

I did everything all the same of you, but when i put on the wire it doesn't heat up. Some "sparks" appear on one rivets and nothing more happen. I checked all the connections with a multimeter (I used a soldering DC adaptor and switch) and everything should be fine... what am I doing wrong?

I think the kind of adaptor you used is the problem sir.. You can use computer power supply as an adaptor sir.. I have another video how to make plastic welding using computer power supply sir.. The materials i used in my homemade plastic welder are: *Computer power supply... *piece of wood *switch *blind rivets *wire for wiring connetion *thin wire Please update me if you use the computer power supply an ur 12volts supply.. The black wire and the yellow is for. 12 volts sir.

This switch can not handle this current in the long run. You should use a relay to switch the current.

Yeah. You're right sir because i use 3 amps power supply on this video but on my other video that i use computer power supply. This switch can carry the current even without relay.. I think you used thicker wire that why the 2 amps power supply wont make it hot.. Try to use computer power supply. Just extend the black and the wire 1 meter so the computer power supply wont shut down

It's very true that 12V, 2Amp power supply will never heart even nichrome wire even if one use very thin wire like 24 gauge. 24 gauge wire is quite thin and wire thinner than this would be too thin to reinforce plastic. I doubt about this video showing 12V , 2Amps power supply heating quite thick wire red hot is fake.

You are using adaptor with short circuit protection.. It will automatically turn off. Try to used transformer type of adaptor or computer power supply.. Computer power supply will really works much better. I have another video hpw to make plastic welding using using computer power supply..

Where are you buying your tools? I can get a 60watt solder gun for $4.50, but the cheapest plastic welding gun I can find is just a bit over $15.00. Of course the plastic welder has 600 rivets with it which saves a lot of cutting and bending.

Hmn. Na try kuna ang laptop charger sir pero nag toturn off po ang laptop charger kasi may built-in fuse po it or namamatay ang power supply nya pag na soshort. Mas maganda po gamitin ang power supply ng computer. Dugtungan nyulang po ng mas mahaba at makapal na electric wire ang yellow at black na wire.. Mas maganda po gamitin ang power supply ny computer. Hmnn.. Sa palagay ko sir ay hindi gagana kasi mag shashutdown po ang gsat charger kasi electronics parts po ang nasa loob nya may mga fuse po kasi sa. Loob nito na maaaring masira pag na short circuit nyo. hindi katulad ng transformer na coil. Mas maganda po pag power supply ng computer ang ga gamitin nyo sir. this is pointless ,why ,because your using Nichrome wire ,which has no strength to it at all ,it way to flexible ,and offers very little rigidity . all hot staples guns . you see on websites ,use stainless steel stables . because it does,nt rust and is strong and has high rigidity . Nichrome wire is not a good choice of material for hot staples .

It really works sir. I think you used low amps power supply sir. You can used computer power supply sir because it has 12volts output with higher amps. I have another video how to make plastic welding using computer power supply sir.

@@mr.kumpuni7868 baahahahaha!! im sorry dude. still, your likely goin to be doin this stuff for 2o years, more and more plastic crap every year. im just starting in myself, because i didnt know there was such a thingim putin a scooter back together after being rub down by a car... i couldnt make your welder, but i can buy one from amazon for under $20. and they brought it to me. buy yourself a tool every month. the guy that made that welder is going to use every dam one of them!

Hi sir. Goodmorning.. You can make a. Plastic welding too sir. You can use a computer power supply for your 12volts source.. On the computer power supply. Use the yellow wire and black wire because it is 12volts.. Just extend the wire. You must use switch also. And if you have a nichrome wire is much better but you can use an ordinary wire too. I have a video how to make a plastic welder sir using a computer power supply..
