A "how to pick and apply lip liner" tutorial would be greatly appreciated! I'm currently doing a minimal look but would love a method to get my lips to the next level!

Hi! Obvs not Shelby, but wanted to share what I do. I look for tones that naturally occur in my lips. My lips are more mauve, so the color mauve by NYx is perrrfect. And a luxe option is Lisa Eldridge’s liner in muse. I feel like in the past we heard “a nude liner will go with everything”, ya but our nudes are not all going to be the same. And it only recently made ACTUAL sense to me. Can’t wait to see what she says about application, as I struggle too 😊

"It gives me a juicy look but it's not overdone" - you were talking about your lips but I think that's your makeup style in a nutshell. I love how you don't pile your face with lashings upon lashings of foundation and concealer, and draw thick, heavy eyebrows, and over-line your lips and whatnot. You do realistic, everyday looks I can relate to and I am most comfortable recreating for myself. Thanks, Shelby!

I've been doing your eye technique for a while now. I'm not sure how long I've been following you. It's quick, easy, and makes your eyes pop!

These are great tips! I love this eye look. I've tried and tried, and I can't get it to work on my aging skin. I'm sure I'm simply doing it wrong. Could you do a tutorial on how to do this eye technique on mature skin (50+) and use a mature model? Doing it the way you describe, the color doesn't go where it's supposed to when you have several folds of skin around the eyelids. How do you adapt the technique in such a case? Thank you so much! PS I love your whole look because you seriously look 20. I appreciate the inspiration to let our skin show.

Yes, I tried to do this with the same eyeshadow (BB Heather Steel) and it didn't blend as well. I have 50+ hooded eyes. I'd love it if I could get mine to blend as softly and not accentuate the folds of skin on the hoods. It actually seemed to make the hoods stand out a little more.

I’m so glad to hear you are a no on filler. It seems to be all the rage these days, and with most people they get that filler stache, and it completely distracts me.

Yes! Mac face and body with the nyx bare with me concealer is my fave combo right now. It looks so fresh and light and I never have to check my makeup because it feels like I’m wearing none

I love, love, love this aesthetic! I got really into lip liner + clear gloss when I had Invisalign. It was the only thing that wouldn’t get on the aligners. The braces are long gone, but I still love the combo most days!

I love using a tinted moisturizer with a higher coverage concealer, it looks polished without feeling heavy. I also have slight rosacea in my cheeks, so I just use a cream bronzer and it gives me a “you gotten some sun” kind of effect. Love your videos, they’ve literally changed my makeup game!

Im going to check out the balm from Loreal. I have been using the Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer for my makeup for months now. I live the finish! I’m a LM Cream Shadow girl still… but I have some Bobbi Brown mixed in! Your techniques are always spot on Shelbey! Forever grateful!

The new Chanel is a whole new addition to the les beige line it won’t replace the water tinte it had more coverage and is much thicker at least I was told that was confirmed

Just an FYI. The Chanel rep I just spoke with said the Water-fresh Tint is being discontinued and is replaced with the water-fresh touch

I have the Chanel (the one you have) and for just everyday I love it’s natural look but better. Because I live where it is hot & humid I usually set it with powder. Sometimes less is just the right amount! Thanks 😊

I just bought the Water Tint the other day from the Chanel website. Only light was sold out, but I picked medium light since you said light was too light for you.

You’ve inspired me to do the same recently. As I’ve gotten older I’ve noticed how rough my foundation and concealer looked by the end of the day. I got my hands on a bottle of the water fresh tint and started wearing it this week! I agree, lighter makeup wears so much better throughout the day, especially in the heat!!

Completely agree, even at my advanced age of 67, I am learning that less is more. It’s keeping my look comfortable yet modern, relaxed and fresh on the skin.

Same here. I'm 54, and I guess I noticed about 5 years ago that my old routine looked kind of heavy and not that good. I have really changed the way I apply my makeup.

I would like to see a comparison between the Chanel product and the similar Rose Inc. and Jane Iredale products. I have the two latter ones and really like them, but I always have wondered what I might be missing. Though maybe I won't ever be able to get the Chanel product anyway!

Yes! I loved the neutrogena skin tint but in seconds it was orange.

Loved this! Actually, I face problems removing makeup too. I’m never sure it’s all come off,so I end up abusing my skin. Please make a video of the correct way of complete removal of makeup with no residue left on skin. Thank you.
