As a (woman) college student 30 years ago, I found an emerald and white, wool plaid sportcoat from perhaps 1972 in a thrift store, and removed it from the pool of garments available to well-dressed men. I wore it with black jeans and a black turtleneck (and sometimes black and white spectator oxfords), called it my used car salesman jacket, and got lots of sincere compliments. I wish you all equal (well, for societal reasons, greater) courage and versatility in exploring green.

I can't help but admire all of the shoes in your collection. Would you consider doing a video showing your full collection (or at least part of it) and tell us where you acquired them? Keep up the great work!

I am always into the stuff in our videos. Maybe some older ones have a different vibe but the newer ones should all be more or less the same.

Green is just perfect for many men. A lot of people wear Beiges/Browns and Blue which Green fits perfect in. I think Teal/Petrol is an amazing color aswell.

Watching this again 4 years later I realize now how much this one specific video has changed my entire wardrobe. I love green 🤷🏻‍♂️

I just got a double breasted pine needle green suit coat. I am going to wear it to church tomorrow with a french cuff shirt in a pale yellow with silver cuff links with bright green stones. My tie is going to be grey squares with white and sunflower gold yellow stripes. My pocket square will be kitchen stove from the 1970's sungold stripes with black back ground and hints of brown. My pants are a deeper green then the suit jacket but it works. I'll be wearing brown shoes with olive green socks and blue strips.All in all I think it works and looks good. Thank you for this channel even the older videos you show smart fashion doesn't go out of style and always stays relevant.

I’m a female viewer. I have tons of separate pieces of clothing, with a case of I don’t know what to wear. Green is my favourite color. It can be done wrong very easily but when done right it is probably the classiest.

Fantastic video. I personally swear by forest green pants. Either Chinos or Suit pants. They are a perfect match to leather shoes in any shade of brown and a caramel colored leather jacket. Also a light blue shirt works terrific together with a forest green pair of pants.

I especially like olive green which can be combined with different browns and yellows, and dark emerald green which looks good with burgundy, sand and gold/dark yellow and laurel green, which would look good with dusty variations of colours such as pink, yellow, brown, as well as darker and more vibrant shades of blue-greens and yellow-greens. But I disagree with blue and green together. I always found them clashing against each other. But each to his own :) Glad you made a video about green. It's one of my favourite colours~!

🤔 Something that would be great to have is an App, a Color Wheel or anything like that where you can look at and see what color combinations match well or complement each other. Maybe you set a color clothing piece and it shows what colors goes with it. I think something like that be helpful to a lot of men. An app could be cool since most have phones that can easily pull out a color wheel app of some kind and it takes the fumble a bit out of deciding on what colors to wear with dread. Me i always lay my cloth out besides each other to see if the colors gel. As well, I have good dress trousers in almost every main color combinations, so it should always be easier to find a matching shirt with that variable of color Trousers. Matching an outer jacket can be a bit tougher and if you have none, well then that’s easy at that point.

in the germanic part of Europe, (Germany, Switzerland and Austria), men love to wear green toned garments with a very slight folkloric heritage such as these Bavarian/Alpine jackets with deer horn buttons etc.. You just google ' trachtenmode Herren'. The preferred cloth is Loden, a very special wool fabric with magic properties. Google as well ' Loden'.

Grey and olive matches well. I have only one green (actually olive) accessory which is a teardrop wool tie. Wearing it with a white shirt shirt and a grey suit. If I wear my green jumper Irish people often stop me especially when the Irish rugby team plays :) Great informative video. BTW are you planning to make a video about ivory, cream, off white shirts? I am really interesting in that colour and I would like to know your opinion.

If you go with a burgundy red and a hunter green, they actually go very well without the Christmas vibe.

Little fun fact on why many people tend not to wear purple here in Italy. In our tradition, it is believed to be a colour that brings bad luck; and if someone can wear it anyway during his day, it is actually rude to wear it in theaters or when you are at the Opera here in Italy, as your behaviour can be mistaken for a premeditated attempt to get the representation to fail and in some arenas it is actually forbidden to enter wearing purple.

If you were to attend a wedding in March, The people getting married are identifying the dress code as formal with a St Patrick's Day tweak, where would you go with this? How to work with purple

Yo finally someone understood the power of green. Growing up I was raised around army officers, and here in India their formal/office uniform is an olive green shirt with green pants and black belt with the insignia of their respective regiment, or olive pants, olive coat, black tie and peach shirt. I always admired those uniforms simply because of the way they stood out, it is also worth noting that here in India there are multiple berets (headgear) worn, these include olive green for the infantry regiments, navy blue for support services, grey for aviation, red for military police, maroon for Special forces, and it always somehow worked with the uniform

Never wear a suit coat with out its pants. Love olive green for cotton and linen suit in the summer

A simple, if somewhat confining guide is one non neutral color in your outfit and the rest neutral. Neutral colors would be black, white, and grey. Though in menswear blue and brown, which includes khaki, beige, tan, ect. are considered neutral. Two notable exceptions are black/black and navy/black which don't look good together. I personally just avoid black except for shoes, belts, and funerals/formal wear.

Can someone please tell me the name of the style of shoe that is shown @5:10 ?
