I’m a 34-year-old Millennial and although everyone says I look better with contact lenses because they can see my blue eyes, I prefer glasses because they’re easy to throw on on a busy day and I can wear long nails with them. But this gives me ideas for how to highlight my face with glasses.

Wow! I just did this to my eyes and such a difference. I always learn something from your videos. I just turned 66 and am retired.

What moisturizer can I wear under eye then use a concealer that will not look bad. I get a bit dry under my eyes and concealer or makeup show the dry flakes. I have started to exfoliate gently to remove dry skin but I really need something to use under the eyes to give moisture. I see you use gels but I cannot find what brands you use.

Thanks for the tips, I do wear glasses. I would LOVE IT if you would do a video on brushes. Which brush you use for which product (show the brushes please) and the method in which you use them. I can’t help but think there are more women out there that could benefit from that video. There are videos out there but I feel you do the best and accurate videos. I'm so thankful I found your tutorials. At 68 I have just decided not to do anymore hair coloring. I plan on getting new glasses in January and was thinking of looking for a lighter color frame which I now think would be a mistake. Thank you for all the great makeup tips.

I think gray hair looks so beautiful. I understand how you feel about making your face up when you're not going anywhere, except for doctor appointments, etc. My husband was sick for several years also. And caring for him and the necessary things around the home were all I felt I could handle. I can definitely understand. One day I ran across Nikol's site here and, like you, realized that I needed to do something to make myself feel better. If I did that I could keep going on with caring for my husband. It was like a shot of energy and encouragement. And too, even though he couldn't tell me, I think he enjoyed the way I looked too. You have to take care of yourself if you're going to be able to care for someone else. I hope things get better for you and your husband. Take care.

Thank you so much for making this video. I have been hoping you would update that one from a few years ago. That’s actually the first video of yours I ever watched. I was starting my own KZread channel and needed makeup advice. I’m a (now) 52 year old woman who wears glasses, so that video was perfect. The only thing I have to disagree with on this video, though, is for me personally, when I watch my videos, I think my eyes looked washed out if I don’t put some darker shade in the crease (like how you normally do your crease). But I definitely agree that the eye liner needs to be definitive, and I have to try that white eye liner on the lower water line. I’m always afraid to line the water line-worried that it will irritate my eye-but when you demonstrate it in this video, I can see a big difference.

I just get the hang of using cream blush but it looks so great on you! Love your videos. So glad I found you. Keep being "real" because that's what makes your videos so wonderful.

I really enjoyed watching this tutorial. I wasn't sure about the white waterline eyeliner, because I use a taupe color everyday, but I see how it really did make your eyes pop. Your eyelashes are long naturally, and adding the eyelash primer and mascara makes them look even longer. I love this look. I use lipstick as my blush sometimes too, and this color looks great both as a blush, and as your lipstick. All in all, GREAT LOOK!

I like both the frames you wore. They are definitely my style.

Super helpful! I’ve fallen off the eyeliner wagon as I’ve gotten older, and realized that as a glasses wearer since age 18 I’ve gotten compliments about my eyes when I leaned more into liner than shadow. And yes to the perfect poppy pink!

Here is a something to try! My glasses always wants to travel a little on the nose how ever I fit them. Then I got a little ”wow” moment today when i was using my 👍🏼eyeshadow primer and put some in my problem area with the glasse and they have not moved a bit in 3 hours after that. Will see how long they will stay in place

Oh dear! I had frames like that, but I'm 70 now and so I switched to gold wire frames thinking it would help me look younger, what do I know? But my white hair I blended with light brown. So that's kind of dishwater blonde/ gold, with gold wire frames. Now I'm really puzzled. What frames help with older women who don't want to look old? I love your channel, by the way😊❤️

I'm 72 & I wear the gold frames too, but I'm under no illusion that they don't make me look older. A friend, who is 82 & has white hair (beautiful hair) just got new frames that have white enamel around them & they look great on her.

I’m 70 with a small face and fair skin. The bigger and darker colored frames are overwhelming. I wear glasses all the time. Whenever I purchase new frames I let the ladies at the optometrist pick them out. Of course, the final decision is up to me but they usually have some good suggestions.

I have to wear self-darkening glasses because I spend so much time outdoors. And basic neutrals in eye makeup just can't be seen on my deep-set eyes. Also, I need a sturdy frame on my glasses. So my approach to eye makeup is quite different than what you're showing here. But I thank you for at least bringing attention to the different circumstances we nearly blind girls have to deal with! And thanks for your energy and focus!

I have just won a hamper full of make up now I just have to learn how to apply it as I haven't used cosmetics in 10 years

Thxs so much! I’ve been stuck wearing glasses for a long time, in spite of my pic. The shadowing makes me crazy. (not helped by the natural darkness) If I don’t use concealer, I can count on my boss asking me if I’m okay😂Nice that he cares though. I’m looking forward to giving the techniques a try. ❤

Gorgeous , your eyes look so pretty . have to wear glasses full tiime now until I can get a decent eye check , contacts etc ( not where I live , so 'behind the rest if the world . No actual lens tests as I had in UK along with eye health care checks .Was recommended a precription of 4.5 , the 4 yr old ones I have are 4.85 !When the optitian asks if you feel dizzy in the glasses recommended & if you don't: 'they'll do ' at 10x the price I used to pay ) Will give this a try as I've noticed my eyes are disappearing .

I don’t even put makeup on my eyes anymore because of my hooded lids. I’m hoping for surgery in the spring. As soon as I get the OK, I’ll be back “fixing” my eyes!

I'm 63 and had the same concerns plus color matching is impossible with standard liquids because I have patchy, moody rosacea and lots of weird texture in those patches, which I can't exfoliate too much. I switched to using tinted sunscreen as a primer and underbase, and use a light dusting of mineral powder foundation over top. You can buff it out as sheer as you like; if you use a mineral-only tinted sunscreen, you won't remove it or cause pilling. My favorite combo is Australian Gold SPF 50 in fair- to-light with BareMinerals OG Original loose mineral powders in two of the lightest adjoining shades, 02 and 03. Try the BareMinerals as your top layer, well-buffed out. Stay with the original formula; I e found the matte just looks to heavy, no matter how much you buff it. This combo has been my jam for over 10 years.
