I am a totally blind person and I own a fire TV cube. I know it has voice commands, but I would really appreciate it if you could talk quite a bit about the different accessibility options on both the fire cube and fire sticks. If you could demonstrate and discuss everything, you can concerning the different things to do on the Voice on both devices for people that are blind and visually impaired. It would be a huge help. For 0$/mo I just use an antenna for OTA HDTV into a 15 year old PC with a Hauppage WinTV DVR card. CBS and PBS and the old movie channel are pretty much all I watch, easy to skip ads too.

This was INCREDIBLY helpful! I'm blown away by Philo, which I'd never heard of, it literally has ALL of the channels that I watch. For $25 that's a steal. I'm so happy that I found your video, Thank you!!

@EJ and Peque ... I personally tried some of the indoor and didn't get many channels and good reception. I finally decided to get an outdoor Wineguard FreeVision and I get a lot more channels... I installed it like twelve feet high facing where my preferred local channels are using one of those locator App 😁

Couple of tips. Sling now includes 50 hr dvr instead of 10. My antennae situation is no good. Locast is good but not available in my area. When there is a show or game on network tv, i open my free vpn, request a city that has Locast then sign in to Locast and watch live TV that way.

LOcast is gone. Killed by a lawsuit!

I tried the All Access CBS but it would cut out and not be available quite often

Question about the Fire TV Recast: the antenna feeds the signal into the recast box..right? So, how does the signal go from the Recast box to the TV? Is it done wirelessly? Can I put the recast box on my outside deck (TV would be inside my condo) as long as I have an outside power outlet?

The recast will distribute local tv via wifi, you could set it up outside if it has power and a good wifi signal.. however it isn't made for outdoor exposure

Locast is off the air. A court ruled against them back in the summer. Too bad. It was a good source for local stuff.

I would like to watch Discovery plus on my TV. Problem is not hard wired to internet. I have Samsung 20 and is there a way to use it to broadcast to my TV through a HDMI. Or using my Hotspot in some way. Just a little new at this.

I have an antenna attached to my Roku TV. When I use the antenna input, Roku streaming channels appear. Do viewing Roku streaming channels though my antenna input use data?

Do you need a recast for each TV; especially to have all of your channels in one location...(instead of opening,ling, then, netflix, etc)?

You only need one Recast for your household. You will need a Fire TV Stick or Cube for each TV to watch over-the-channels alongside Sling TV or Philo channels. Hope that helps.

I have sling tv and cbs all access. Love them both. I'm having trouble with cbs all access buffering all the time. It's just that app no others, any suggestions? I've cleared cache, force stopped, etc but no help.

I have the 4K one I just bought yesterday. Updated it and still didn’t change the interface??

I live in Arlington, VA and Xfinity is the main cable provider which is getting expensive. I am not into sports much but I like to see movies/shows/news. Is there a way I can use an antenna to get regular channels so I can watch them live? I know some movie channels need a subscription like STARZ, AMC. Also, I do not see CBS All Access app in my fire stick.

I have a few questions. How can I sent you a donation to support the channel? I was able to get the HD deal. Are all the Dewalt battery exchangeable? Cause I don't want to mess up the unit by using the wrong battery. Are there any good deals on the mekita grinders with cord? Please keep an eye form me on the grinder.

Fire TV stick is an awesome creation by Amazon. This device with a Mediatek chipset is pretty cheap and has great performance as well.

​@@ryry7886 You have to look for the chipset in the device and it is pre-installed. Can't be changed. They keep using better mediatek chipsets with time.

NBC in my area lowered it signal so low that you cant even pick up the channel within 20 miles. Many people think they worked out a deal with local cable company to drive more people to get cable in order to get NBC

All fine and dandy if you are close to the city where the towers are. Get an antennae to get anything in a rural area.

I don't know. I cord cut and went to the Firestick because I didn't want to continue paying to watch tv. It seems a lot of the sources want to nickel and dime me into still paying to watch tv. And then there's VPN cost. Most of what's on tv is crap. Maybe radio is the key today. Unsure... Anyone for a Sharknado series? Blah!

This is a good all around video. However, I would stress this to everyone make sure you have a ota antenna. Why? We had some bad storms roll through and it knocked the internet out. So, keep that in mind no internet no streaming. Ota antenna will always work.

1911loaded Good point. However, remember if you have a cellphone with unlimited data and a mobile hotspot, you can still have internet until your home internet comes back up. We do it at our house during internet outages as long as we have power for the TVs, desktop and laptops. If all the power goes out, we can charge from other sources like our automobiles, generator, or battery power packs and use our ipads or smartphones. We don't need any of this a lot but I plan ahead as much as possible and have figured this out. Hope this helps. 😊

That’s sounds good but when I want to watch starz so I watch my shows like Power BMF and other shows on mgm+ and HBO u still coming out ur pocket so u still going to have to pay some of the apps have to pay for so I just keep my spectrum but I still trying to seek to see if I can get it cheaper
