Cleansed using the 'formula' and a toohbrush took about 20 hours. Vibrancy and iridescence returned along with the distinct odour of sheep wool. My rug now has centre stage on the wall. Wonderful! Thank you I PAINTED for sharing your knowledge.

Adds hair shampoo because it is pH-neutral. Then adds very low pH vinegar. I wish there was more explanation about pH tolerance levels.

Thanks for your question! Any brush or broom that has soft bristles to not damage the wool to much. I hope that answer gave some clarity on the subject .

Why hair shampoo and not carpet shampoo?

  • @ipaintedyoutube

Great question, thanks for asking! Hair shampoo has a PH balance that will not damage the natural colourants used in the Persian Carpets or the integrity of the wool. Whereas common carpet shampoo has harsh chemicals in that will damage the natural dyes..

Hi, it definitely is, on its own, that is why it is important to follow the recipe and dilute it with the 2 liters of water. Have you ever tried using vinegar on your own, or your pet's hair when washing it? It gives it an amazing shine, it does the same for the natural wool used in these carpets. It brings back the vibrance and shine. Don't just take our word for it, try it yourself.

He/she never took any chemistry obviously. Pure acetic acid is considered a moderate to mild acid. Diluted, it’s certainly mild. Organic acids have great benefits in terms of removing dirt that is nitrogenous in nature, such as dander, urine, and certain other stains and soils in that chemical family.
