How to Wash Cantaloupe | How to Cut a Cantaloupe
The two top questions I am asked about cantaloupe are how to cut it and if you need to wash it. YES, you should always wash it. Even though you do not eat the outside of cantaloupe, you don't want everything from the outside to get onto the fruit that you eat.

@@TheCrossLegacydo you rinse melons & fruits with fresh water after the vinegar water? Do you air dry melons or pat them dry before cutting?

@dianaweber4396 for melons I don't rinse after the vinegar wash. If you are cutting it right away after washing melons are one item you can dry with a towel.

I don’t eat the rind so it’s just not necessary to soak in vinegar & water 💧 I eat my cantaloupe 🍈 with blueberries 🫐 this adds extra flavor😋

@FLIPPER1439 the reason to clean the melon is because your knife passes through the rind to the inside that you do eat so any pathogens and bacteria on the outside gets transferred to the parts you do eat.
id like to add that you should have a separate cutting board for meat and one for all the rest. So as not to cross contaminate foods
