I use UVC light, and disinfectant wipes on my sons. I also put a bag of activated charcoal in his bag to absorb to odor and moisture.

I used this technique only for gloves which smells too much since too long. The y are drying on a radiator. For me it’s a last chance technique. Thank you .

Great video, thank you for the upload, I'm about to try it out. One question tho, what if i use a soap with some fragnance (like camomille or aloe vera)? How long do the gloves keep the smell?

I like the method but I don’t know if I’d do this on higher end gloves.

Yes this works, but I agree with you. More expensive gloves maybe should be done differently just incase of they require a certain method. Respect though bruv, appreciate the feedback.

I tried to get as much water out by squeezing, before I placed in the airing cupboard. Maybe leave for a few extra hours. Ultimately they will dry out though.

Jaylyn Leggette hey, 1 of 2 things. Either you didn’t squeeze out the excess water before hanging up. Or the cupboard wasn’t warm enough to dry them. Should well be dry after 2 days. My apologies about the gloves, the pairs I’ve done have always dried over night.

@@antoniom_sports7971 yes thats true, but the aim of this is to get rid of musty smells and bacteria build up inside the gloves. You can't deny the smell of unwashed gloves isn't appealing at all. But yes I hear where your coming from. Respect for passing by. Theres also a washing machine edit, check it out.

You would have to either try on a pair of synthetic gloves you have already worn out .. or take a leap of faith and try the pair you speak of .. Sorry but can’t say yes because haven’t tried .. Let us know how it goes or what you decide to go with..

Oh my God this would absolutely kill the life of your gloves if not destroy them the first time you do this. Especially any pro level training gloves made of leather.

Hello Paris. These aren't leather or pro level training gloves. I don't box for competition, just for fitness training. They came out ok tbh and still usable, but yes I hear where your coming from. Whats your boxing levels, training to a good standard yes ?

Does this get rid of bad smells?

Yes this removes odours. Leave them to soak in hot water for a while.

Yo so I did this worked like a fucking charmmmmmmmmmm my shit smelt so fucking awful and this took the smell away thank you so much and to people having a hard time with the gloves drying what I did was squeeze the water out like he said and then I grabbed a towel and put my hand inside the glove with the towel and squeezed so the towel would absorb the water I just kept doing it till The towel stopped getting soaked and it dried a whole lot easier

Alright, i have at least done the washing. Left them in the lukewarm saltwater for 12 hours, then I use soap and sponge to clean out the exterior and interior. The smell is definitely ridden of at least 90%, cant tell until I start using it again. Now I just squeeze as much water as possible and left it to air and drip dry. Once it is no longer drip but wet, I will stuff newspaper inside to absorb more moisture out. Hopefully all turns out well. Meanwhile, I wanna share something with the rest who are going to wash their gloves. Only wash if it is genuine leather, I figure PVC layers might start peeling, especially if you are going to dry it under the sun. Secondly, always trim your fingernails. I didn't trim my fingernails and during the squeeze dry, I accidentally @cut@ the outer layer of my beloved gloves haha!

Just use hairdryer to dry them completely out is not that complicated.
