Wanted to buy Nikwax on Amazon, but got spooked by quite a few negative reviews that after SolarWash and SolarProof tent started leaking much more than before. If I ruin my new (only 20 nights on the trail) tent, who is going to refund me, Big Agnes that recommended using Nikwax products or Nikwax? (I am sure it is a rhetorical question - nobody will)

So, you only clean the fly or should the tent and screen mesh also be treated?
If it’s water “based” does it need “refreshing” more often ? My 12X16 tent became a sieve in the middle of the night! Everything was soaked! How would I wash & rain proof it?
Do you wash the tent body/bathtub floor too, or just the fly?

Came to see instruction on how to clean a tent, but spent more then half the time hearing lots of fluff. But I did not know you have to make the tent wet to spray on it, so thank you for that because I will not be buying this product.
